Hello my pc does not read any blank dvds what to do ?

Assuming you have a dvd burner, do you have dvd decoder software or dvd burning software installed? Does it read burned dvds? Are you sure it's a dvd burner? If so, make sure the blank dvds you are using are the proper format ie; dvd+/-rw, etc. Good luck

you said you have p/n 280751-B21 , this is 16X DVDROM Read only -- this cannot do anything buit read DVDs.. it will not record anything, it is not capable..
if you give me the computer modsl and S/N , i iwll advise which CDRW/DVD youc an install in it (computer) to record and write CDs and DVDs

Hello,have you checked what format is the cd? your burner supports only CD-R and not CD+R,also check the cd if is dirty or scratched!

Cd and dvd are not detected. when i insert cd/dvd one window come as if i have inserted a blank cd/dvd.it shown the options same as blank cd. it cann't recognise my cd
sounds like your laser is bad it usauly happends to laptops if you burn alot of cds or dvds or time took its toll the infirior laser is not designed fto last forever you must replace the drive! Good luck!

No Sir, Acer Aspire 4330 comes with different Optical Media Loadings, ( You can see a pdf file here )
Like;
  • DVD/CD-RW combo drive
  • 8X DVD-Super Multi double-layer drive.
But you have the first one, The Combo drive not the super so you can READ both CD's DVD's but can write only CD's.

Hope this removes your dilemma.

Player doesn't read blank dvds
From the site of the company that built the computer or motherboard. Usually when this happens it is an head allignment problem or a dirty read head. Have you used/tried one of the cleaner disks on it? If that does not work then buy a replacement  DVD burner and replace it. The alignment is not something can can be done w/o fancy equiptment and burners are not expensive. All of the software wil still be intact and should work with the new burner expecially if you purchase the same brand.

your dvd writer lanse is beeing week or your pc needs to format try the format & reinstall your os try to read dvd if dosent work your dvd lace life is over

If I were you I would go up on toshiba's site and down load the updated firm ware for the laptop.

Select which model A105 you have, Click on show results, click on downloads, and search the 1-4 pages of downloads for the dvd/dvd rom updates. Download install, and rerboot to take effect.

Cannot switch on I am using Acer Aspire 3260, At first it happened that very difficult to switch on my laptop (got to press the button hard and took long time to switch on) but lately all the power supply either using battery or direct current come to failure.
