find out what kind you have ( should be within your documentation, if you have none, go to google.com and search "Acer aspire 3624wxci specifications " ( without the quotes) it will take some time but you will find it. then when you do, look for the DVD drive that's installed and google that. DO NOT download from sites that you are not familiar with god knows what else you will get besides the drivers. or you can simply go to acer.com in the search in the top right corner type in your system info (Acer aspire 3624wxci or just 3624wxci) and see what downloads are available. Please tell us what operating system you are using Windows xp, windows Vista, Windows 7...etc

I can't remove bios password on Acer asipre

There are a number of possible causes for BOOTMGR errors, including the most common "BOOTMGR is missing" error message. The most common reasons for BOOTMGR errors include corrupt and misconfigured files, hard drive and operating system upgrade issues, corrupt hard drive sectors an outdated BIOS and damaged or loose IDE cables Anothe reason you might see BOOTMGR errors is if your PC is trying to boott from a hard drive or flash drive that is not properly configured to be booted from. In other words, it's trying to boot from a non-bootable source. This also would apply to media on an optical drive or floppy drive that you're trying to boot from. make sure there are no disks in cd floppy usb drives Test all power and data leads that attach to your hard drive ,SATA the leads from your ((MOTHERBOARD TO YOUR HARD DRIVE)) make sure they have a secure dust free connections and are not faulty or just replace them they could be faulty Make sure all power and data leads that are attached to your drives dvd\cd have secure connections and are not faulty or just replace them they could be faulty a computer needs Data and Power to travel through every working device and to continue its cycle and to have an end so any faulty leads will end up with a computer error. also make sure you have set it boot from you hard drive in BIOS Restart your computer and enter BIOS mode. On most computers this is done by pressing the Delete ot F2 key but will vary depending on your computers bios other keys Acer: - Ctrl+Alt+Esc , ALR PC: (F2) or (Ctrl)(Alt)Esc) , Award BIOS: (Del) or (Ctrl)(Alt)(Esc). Scroll over to the "Hard Drives" tab, and make sure your computer has the hard drive assigned to be on. Often during BIOS you can select auto-detect or change options with your hard drive to make sure Windows can recognize it. Once you've selected your desired options, continue to boot.Restart your computer repeatedly tapping the f8 key to enter safe mode while the screen is black once in safe mode where the only things working will be your keyboard and mouse allowing you to attempt to repair your computer As the computer is booting repeatadly press the F8 key as the computer is booting If done properly the user should get to a screen similar to the below screen. Select the option for Safe mode command prompt only Windows Advanced Options Menu Please select an option: Safe Mode Safe Mode with Networking Safe Mode with Command Prompt Enable Boot Logging Enable VGA mode Last Known Good Configuration (your most recent settings that worked) Directory Services Restore Mode (Windows domain controllers only) Debugging Mode Start Windows Normally Reboot Return to OS Choices Menu Use the up and down arrow keys to move the highlight to your choice. select safe mode with command prompt Then type at the C:\> prompt: type DEBUG and hit Enter. You'll see a dash (-) at the DEBUG prompt. Now type: o 70 2e which will show as -o 70 2e at the DEBUG prompt. Hit Enter. Then type: o 71 ff and hit Enter. Finally type: Quit and hit Enter one last time to quit DEBUG back to the C:\> prompt. Now you're ready to reboot your PC, and press the appropriate key or key combo (look it up in your motherboard manual if you don't know it) to access your BIOS Setup. Youll notice the password is gone. If this fails try typing At command prompt type debug you will get a - prompt where you can type the following (<enter> means press enter, not type enter*) A <ENTER> MOV AX,0 <ENTER> MOV AX,CX <ENTER> OUT 70,AL <ENTER> MOV AX,0 <ENTER> OUT 71,AL <ENTER> INC CX <ENTER> CMP CX,100 <ENTER> JB 103 <ENTER> INT 20 <ENTER> <ENTER> just hit enter on this line G <ENTER> Q <ENTER> Basic BIOS password - works 9.9 times out of ten If this fails you will need to Select safe mode with networking to download you could download all of these or just one save them to a usb drive for later use if one fails to remove the password http://www.tech-faq.com/reset-bios-password.html At some stage you might need to press Ctrl+Enter rather than just Enter if on a Dell Latitude E5410 http://majorgeeks.com/CmosPwd_d239.html A CMOS BIOS password recovery tool Editors note: This tool should only be used by experienced computer users. Please see the enclosed read me if you would like to run it from Windows. Failure to follow instructions (from Windows) will cause your anti-virus to flag this as a virus. Hope this helps.

Bootup failure

Cause:
  1. Keyboard issue
  2. Miscellaneous corruption
  3. Corrupt boot.ini file.
  4. Missing boot.ini file.
  5. Missing or corrupt ntoskrnl.exe file.
  6. Windows NT installed on a partition bigger then 7.8GB
  7. Corrupted hard disk drive or severely corrupted Windows.
Solution:Keyboard issue
This issue has also been known to be caused by a short in the ground wire in the keyboard cable. Make sure this is not the cause of your error by replacing the keyboard with a different keyboard or simply just disconnecting the keyboard from the computer.
Miscellaneous corruption
Before trying any of the below recommendations it's recommend that you attempt to load the last known good configuration. Additional information about doing this can be found on document CH000626.
Corrupt boot.ini file
This issue is often caused when the boot.ini is missing or improperly configured. This issue often arises after a user has recently added or removed an operating system on the computer or added or removed hard disk drives in the computer.
Make sure the line pointing to the operating system and it's drive and partition is properly configured in the [boot loader] and [operating systems] section. Additional information about boot.ini can be found on document CH000492.
Missing boot.ini file
Microsoft Windows XP users:
If the boot.ini is severely corrupted or missing a user running Microsoft Windows XP can rebuild the boot.ini to resolve this issue. Additional information about rebuilding the boot.ini can be found on document CH000648.
Microsoft Windows NT and Windows 2000 users:
To restore the original boot.ini file in Microsoft Windows NT or Windows 2000 you will need an ERD and follow the below steps. If you do not have an ERD you will be unable to follow these steps.
  1. Boot the computer with your Windows NT three setup diskettes or the Windows 2000 setup disc.
  2. In the setup menu, type R to start the repair.
  3. When prompted for the ERD diskette insert the diskette and inspect the startup environment.
Missing or corrupt ntoskrnl.exe file
If the ntoskrnl.exe file is corrupt or missing this can also generate the error. To restore this file follow the below steps.
  1. Insert the Microsoft Windows XP CD. Note: If you have a recovery CD or a restore CD and not a Microsoft Windows XP CD it is likely the below steps will not resolve your issue.
  2. Reboot the computer, as the computer is starting you should see a message to press any key to boot from the CD. When you see this message press any key.
  3. In the Microsoft Windows XP setup menu press the R key to enter the recovery console.
  4. Select the operating system you wish to fix, and then enter the administrator password.
  5. Type expand d:\i386\ntoskrnl.ex_ c:\windows\system32
  6. You will then be prompted if you wish to overwrite the file type Y and press enter to overwrite the file.
  7. Type exit to reboot the computer.
Windows NT installed on a partition bigger then 7.8GB
If you are running Microsoft windows NT 4.0 on a partition larger than 7.8GB this issue can occur if the boot files are located outside this limitation. When this error occurs your computer will have the error message as shown below.
OS Loader v4.01
Disk I/O error status=00000001
Windows NT could not start because the below file is missing or corrupt: winnt\system32\Ntoskrnl.exe
Please reinstall a copy of the above file.
If your system partition is larger than 7.8GB you will need to delete the partition and recreate the partition to 7.8GB or less. Additional information about this issue can be found on Microsoft KB Q224526.
Corrupted hard disk drive or severely corrupted Windows
Attempt to check the hard disk drive for any errors by running the chkdsk error. To do this follow the below steps.
  5. Once at the recovery console type chkdsk /r
  6. Once completed type exit and see if issue is resolved.

I forget bios password aspire

To reset the BIOS password read the information from this link.

In case of your laptop the easiest method would be using software from Hiren's Boot CD as it's pretty hard to open it up and reach for the CMOS battery or the jumper and I wouldn't recommend doing it especially if it's under warranty.

How to remove memory chip

Hi,
Most notebooks have a memory access panel on the under side of the unit. Unscrew the fastener and you'll see the memory modules. These are held in by metal leaf springs on either side. Pull these away from the module and the module will move up. Pull the module out and reverse the procedure when fitting new memory. Make sure the laptop is turned off and unplugged, and make sure you are grounded whilst removing and fitting memory modules.

I am missing a compatable

If you were to log on to the manufacturer's web site, I think you may be pleasantly surprised as usually, if available, one is able to download, by model number, Customer Instruction Manuals, list of Dealers for spare part supplies and Driver downloads (if applicable) as required.

The information is normally free of charge.

See if there is a driver

I hope this helps.

I have an Acer aspire 3624wxci it is running

DO NOT mess with the (D:) drive.

This is where your backup system files are located to restore your computer.

For the (C:) drive;

1) Burn off to disk/s or thumb drive/s, any extra personal data that you can live without having on the computer, and can always view/use later.

Pictures, Videos, Music, personal documents you have created, documents or data that you have downloaded, etc.

2) Click on Start > Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs.

Remove any programs you haven't used in a long time, and can live without.
(Or have on disk to reinstall later if you need it)

DO NOT delete any Windows programs.

3) Defragment the Harddrive.

Click on Start > Control Panel > Performance and Maintenance > Rearrange items on your harddive to make programs run faster

Be sure (C:) drive is highlighted.
Click on Analyze at the bottom.
Even if the small pop up states that You Do Not Need To Defragment this Drive, do so anyway.

Once started suggest you Do Not stop it in the middle, nor lose electricity to your computer while the harddrive is being defragmented.

4) Use a Registry cleaner next.
I use CCleaner, and for two reasons.

One it's FREE.
Two it works, and works as good as the paid for versions, and better than some of the paid for versions.

Information;

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CCleaner

Homepage;

If you would like guidance in downloading, installing, or using CCleaner let me know in a Comment.

Have to remove the Acer Aspire 3624WXCi motherboard to install Ram Memory?
No
Who told you that?

You Do Not have to do this with any laptop.

1) ALL power removed from the laptop. Remove the AC adapter (Charger) and Battery.

2) Laptop closed turn it over, battery compartment facing Away from you.

In the middle of the laptop is a funny shaped panel cover.
Looks like a square with a rectangle attached to the bottom of it.

The square shape has two screws at the top, and where the square shape meets the rectangle shape, there are three screws going across.
(Philips head screws > +)

Remove these screws.

The panel has a tab on one end. The end that doesn't have any screws. Lift the panel up on the end that has two screws.

The Ram Memory module/s are in the ram memory slots. (Ram memory module = ram memory 'stick')
