SOURCE: JVC TV (LT-32E478) Stuck (loops) in standby

Do you mean the JVC Logo keeps appearing?

If so, call JVC for the software update. I believe it may even be posted on their site. You can check in the TV menu to verify. You should have F108 or higher.

If the update doesnt apply, you need a Digital PWB for the TV because it is defective.

SOURCE: No Picture

I am deeply sorry but you will need to replace the backlight bulbs. These are not available.

Look on Ebay for a 32" JVC with a broken LCD Screen. Buy it and use these bulbs to fix your TV. I am sure there will be a few good ones in the broken TV. It's that or list it on Ebay for $50 and expect to get about 200-300.

LCD Panel repair for this problem is $500 for parts so you are stick with repair yourself or sell.

XCAN'T FIND THE BUTTON TO RUN CHANNEL AUTO SCAN

First make sure that the Source is set to TV and a good antenna/coaxial cable is connected to the TV. Use the Input button on the TV (to the left of the power button) or the Input Select button on the remote. Use the up/down arrow keys to navigate through the source list and press Enter to select that choice. (On the TV, the Input button is the Enter button.) Next press the Setup/TV Menu on the remote (or Menu on the right arrow button or Enter. Then go down to Auto Ch Memory and press the right arrow or Enter. With the up/down arrows, navigate to Signal Type and set that to Air (for OTA channels) or Cable with the left/right arrows. Now navigate to Automatic Search and press the right arrow or Enter. Wait for the scan to be completed.

I hope this helps. The steps are shown in the manual for the LT-19D610 on page 18. The manual is available from JVC on the product page: http://support.jvc.com/consumer/product.jsp?modelId=MODL028825 . The direct link to the manual is http://resources.jvc.com/Resources/00/01/47/J55D0221B.pdf .

I have a JVC LT 26X575 that will not accept remote input for any function, but using the buttons on the TV allow the menu to be achieved and the sound to be raised or lowered. In TV mode it comes on on...

sounds like the remote batteries could be bad or the buttons on the remote need to be cleaned. some JVC TV remotes, I'm not familiar with this particular one though, can be cleaned using a clean pencil eraser. Be careful opening the remote because some parts can fall out or you can damage the connections to the LED emitter that sends the signal to the TV. Also the solder connections on that LED could be bad.

Hi mfaille
I`m going to help you with your setup but first;
Which connection are you using from the sat receiver to the tv?
Coax / standard rg6 cable?
Did you try to manually add(in the menu/tuner setup/find channel/add) the channel you need ?

My remote wont change channels

I need to use the cable remote to change the channel and the TV remote to change volume.
That is because your TV is looking at the output of the cable box (probably on channel 3 or 4) so the TV has to be statically tuned to see the cable box's output.
On the second question; I, and perhaps others, can't answer this without spending a lot of time to download manuals for both systems while you have them (presumably, since they are new) on hand. You didn't include the TV's model number anyhow so even that wouldn't be adequate.
The home theatre may have a receiver but what does it receive? Unless it also has channel capabilities that correspond to cable channels, it can't. The typical routing should be from the cable box to the TV S-video input and the sound can be routed separately from the cable box to either/or both, the home theatre's and also the TV's audio inputs.
When I am installing new stuff, I make a sketch of the routing I want (or have) to use. To me, this is less confusing than the supplied instructions.

I'm trying to set up my JVC LT-32DF7BK. I've already attached a BT vision box, but the TV won't tune in any channels as it says no signal. I've checked all the leads and aerial point with another TV and...

Try an antenna directly on the tv to see if you get any stations. This will assure you that the tuner is working. Then hook up the new box and tune tv to channel 3 and turn box on. You should get some kind of display. If no luck you could hook audio/video cables from the audio/video output on the box to the video 1 input on the rear of your set. Then switch tv input to video 1 and turn box and tv on. This too, should give you something on the screen. Make sure the antenna is hooked up to the "ant. in" on the box. This should help, Russmann.
