We have a Kitchenaid kesc300 oven. For some reason the oven stopped working today. I am bummed because the oven is probaby only around 2 years old. The display seems to be working ok, but the oven does not heat up at all. I tried the broiler too, but it also seems to be broken. I thought that it might be an element, but I doubt that both went bad at the same time. any thoughts? I appreciate any help you can give.
Fridaire range was in use when oven element stopped working, then checked broiler was checked, but it does not work either. All the eyes work.Fridaire range was in use when oven element stopped working, then checked broiler was checked, but it does not work either. All the eyes work.

I had a similar problem while mine was
still under warranty. Seemed like every time I used the oven and stove
top for a major dinner it would short out and I would get an error
code: F1:E6. They replaced the board under the display area, but it
happened again about 6 months later. Turned out that when they made the
oven they didn't insert a chimney like vent system from the bottom left
side of the oven to the vent holes that come out the upper left side of
the stovetop. This caused the panel to overheat and stop the entire
oven from working. They replaced the board again and installed the
"chimney vent system" and I haven't had the problem occur again (it's
been 3 years!).
Both elements are controlled by a common relay on the ERC (Electronic Control Card) and cannot be repaired. The ERC needs replaced. This is also referred to as the Clock/Display.

Okay, at this point some trouble shooting is needed. Unless you have a multi-meter and know how to use it you need a professional. Surges in thesource may cause this as well as poor grounds in the builings electrical sysytem.
Hello- Glass bulbs don't make very good handles, do they? Find a good tech to check wiring behind bulb socket. May have burned a connection, and or grounded a wire somewhere. Electric ranges have two 110v circuits that work in combination. One is out. Let me know if info helps- have more if needed- Thanks- ED
The heating element may be burnt out, you will need to replace this element if it does not heat up when the oven is turned on, try turning the oven to broil if the top element heat up then indeed it is the bottom element and need replacing.
Look on the back of the oven for a tech sheet. This will tell you what the code means and what to check. May be an oven temp. sensor or oven control bad. Can't remember what f7 is without looking at the tech sheet.
