Moen faucet I had great water pressure before replacing my faucet 70psi. there are 3/8" hookups for hot and cold water but the tube feeding the pull down is 1/4" copper tub with a quick release on it. This has cut the amount of water coming out of this new faucet way down. Is this an engineering over sight or what?

Most dont need that amount of pressure of flow. There is a reducer in it for restriction to reduce water waste

Verify the height from the shower valve to the Shower head, the instructions specify the correct distance if it is too short the pressure could be getting up to the shower head.

Perhaps the water pressure it too high at the valve not allowing all the water down the faucet outlet, there are set screws on the sides of the shower valve to adjust the water allowed in the mixing chamber.

Something is restricting the water flow to the faucet, creating enough pressure to send some of the ater supply up to the shower.

I hope some of these ideas help

Sounds like it was installed upside down or the cartridge is installed improperly

SOURCE: moen T2113 shower faucet no hot water

You need to replace the stem. This will not cost you a dime; call MOEN and tell them the issue, with the model number, and they will send the replacement part. Many people don't know that MOEN is guaranteed for life (to the original owner)......another words, say you are the original owner :) They will not ask any questions. Good luck! PS Also works on any MOEN faucets you may have.

You can try to rotate the first plastic ring to the left of center a few teeth, this will let the handle advance alittle more to the hot side.

I have replaced moen 1225B cartridge and only get cold water no hot water

when installing a new cartridge you need to put stem grease on the o-rings or you are taking a great risk of cutting the o-rings upon installation. doing this will allow the cold water to mix with the hot causing this problem it is quite common for this to happen without the grease

My classmate

Moen Monticello 4-inch centerset bath faucets can be repair easily with only a screwdriver and adjustable wrench. Turn the water off to the both sides of the faucets under the sink. Open both the hot and cold-water valves to alleviate any remaining pressure. Remove the handles by grasping the base of the handle and turning it counterclockwise.( This works for both lever and cross handles). Loosen the Moen faucet cartridge bonnet nut with an adjustable wrench by turning it counterclockwise to the left. Pull the stem from the faucet by hand and replace. Reinstall the bonnet nuts and handles. Turn the water back on and test the faucet for leaks. The Moen Monticello faucet comes with a limited lifetime warranty. Try calling Moen to get your replacement parts free.

LOW PRESSURE HOT WATER SIDE

Disassemble the hot water valve. Look for calcium or any other materials, and clean. If you see white plastic particles, then it's probably from your water heater down tube

I don't get enough hot water, temp is too cold

This sound like you need to reduce the inlet pressure of the cold feed to the mixer. If there is no 'non return valve' fitted and the cold feed pressure is too great, i can in effect push back the hot water feed and reduce the temp. So how to fix?? trace back the direct water feed to the shower faucet/outlet feed and simply reduce its pressure by 1/4 turning the 'in-line' stop valve the plumber should of fitted if he was any good at his working standards.

Hope this Helps

I have very little water press on the hot water side

Dis-assemble the faucet to get to the valve. The handle comes off and you access the valve from the top, usually by removing a screw on ring.

You will robably find contamination in the hot side of the valve.

You can find instructions on the Moen website.
