DS Lite - broken on/off button

spring must be stucked, best thing is open up the unit and see whats in the slot or replace the slot , Thanks

his ds might be broken sorry i had that and i bought a new one

put it in an envolope and send it back to the company and they will replace it

this happend to my sister it dont work anymore had to get a new 1 when ever it dropped it broke a little chip thing inside take it to a gamestop take it appart see what the problem is

um maybe its the power cord or if not inside the ds the plug wher u put the power cord is broken

Look on the well known auction sites. Some are selling the switch. Ask them if they could also replace it for you. I could do it for you but I'm in Europe, so a little to far

The switch is broken. This is a common problem if the shell case has been removed or if someone simply pushed way too ******* the power button. A new button can be purchased on ebay for under $10. Some soldering and desoldering will be required. The DS Lite is breakable when taking it apart so be careful. You can also send it to a guy like me for a fee and have it fixed or sell the broken unit to someone like me that fixes them.

No.. most likely the ribbon cable that connects the lcd screen to the rest of the ds has been damaged or knocked loose. Or the circuit board somewhere has been cracked or damaged, affecting the circuitry that sends a signal to the lcd screen.

Is it under warranty? You can maybe send it back to Ninendo for repair. Or open it and attempt to repair it yourself. Otherewise I'm afraid the DS is just broken...
