DCR HC48 not working on battery

I have a Sony DCR HC48 nowdays it is not working on battery, but when i connect it to direct power supply then it works fine, first it seems to me that battery is bad, when i used the same battery in another camcoder that camcoder works fine on my battery.
So my battery is also fine but it doesn't work when i am using it with my camcoder then it doesn't work and my camcoder works fine with the direct power supply.

    Thanks Guru for your assistance.

I went to the Sony service center, they told me due to moisture it has stopped working.

They told me that the problem is in the CPU and repairing the CPU will be costly as well as risky bcos it can also completely stop working.

Currently it is working fine on direct power not on battery.

Please suggest me any solution for this moisture so that i can use my camcoder.

    Appreciate your help.....

    Thanks

How do I transfer video already on tape in the Sony DCR-HC48 to the memory stick in the same camera?

don't listen the 3 other answers, because i know what you mean, you mean directly from the tape to the memory stick, right ?
it is impossible, the memory stick is only usable for taking pictures, no video, and even, it would have to be recorded directly on it, but it is impossible !

Sony Handycam DCR - HC48 door jamb repair. Cassette door is not closing,

Tape mechanism problems can be quite complicated but they can usually be repaired fairly inexpensively. However, it's not a user serviceable problem and will need to be repaired by a qualified service technician.

My name is Rick and I'm a professional repair technician with over 20 years in the business and have repaired many of these. I'm semi retired and work from home with little overhead so I can keep repair costs low. If you decide to have the camera repaired, please click HERE for a directory listing that suits your needs.

Sony DCR-HC48 tape mechanism won't close

DVC tape doors not closing:
The 'Big-Bang' theory of whacking the H__ out of the camcorder does often work, as I've done it myself.
However, there is also the risk of dislodging or mis-aligning other transport mechanisms.
Rather trying shaking the unit, less of a shock to the innards.
Also, the gearing & motor lube may have dried out over the years, causing drag.
You can hold the door shut, allowing the motor to complete its task, or use a cotton ear-bud "Q-tip" sprayed with a light-weight lube, touched sparingly on gears.

I have a Sny dcr-hc48 camcorder which stopped working some time back. this week i had my friend who came with the same camcorder and i swapped in his battery and my camcorder started working. but if i...

First: put your battery in your friends camcorder and use ur friends charger to charge the battery.
Then put your battery back into your camcorder to see if it works.

If the battery works then this eliminates the battery as a problem.

Next plug your charger into your friends camcorder to see if it will power the camcorder without battery, if this works then the problem will most likley be the connector in your camcorder.

If this does not work then the problem will be the plug or the charger.

Next plug your friends charger into your camcorder if it does not work this will verify that the problem is the connector on your camcorder

My camcorder tape door won't close

Try removing the battery for a few seconds, and then re-inserting. This seems to reset something on my DCR-TRV20, and it starts closing properly.
