Do you have the usb cable for the camera? If you do, then go into the menu using the 4-way controller go to the setting menu. Under usb connection select PC. Then you can back out of the menu. Turn your camera off, connect the usb cable, then turn the camera on. Let me know if you need more help.

Need newer version for pentex software S-SW58

Why do you need newer software? Updates don't come, beacuse a camera stops taking pictures or having problems. Most updates are little improvements for cameras that still work correct.
Try to discribe what is wrong with your camera. Perhaps you need something els to solve the problem.

Sony DSC-W310 CD-Rom lost

You may download Sony software from here. Bear in mind that you don't need Sony software in order to use your camera.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa.

I do not have a Pentax Cd-Rom SW-SW58 to install on my PC.

You don't need any special software.

I bought my computer from you in June 2008, service tag 73SCFG1. Recently I tried, for the first time to use the backup feature to store data. I noticed that the software did not have that capability,...

Is your Operating System Windows XP Home by any chance? That did not come with backup software installed. However, there is a way...

To Manually Install the Backup Utility
  • Insert the CD Rom and navigate to CD-ROM Drive:\VALUEADD\MSFT\NTBACKUP
  • Double-click the Ntbackup.msi file to start the wizard that installs Backup
  • When the wizard is complete, click Finish.

Pentax Optio Z10

Haven’t been able to find any software, but you can try the following workaround:
1. Plug in the camera to the PC and ensure it is detected by the PC.
2. Right click START button and select Explore.
3. From the left panel, scroll to the drive corresponding to your camera. (It will usually be located after the last DVD/CD ROM Drive letter.
4. Click on that drive to expand the folders in the right pane.
5. Search for the relevant pictures from a folder within that drive.
6. Copy the required pics (Hold CTRL and click on pics in case you want to select more than one pic). Then rightt click and select "COPY"
7. Once you copied all the needed pics, select a folder on your computer (or create a new one) and paste the pics into this folder.
8. You're done :)

An external memory card reader is an easy alternative way to copy files from your
camera's memory card to your computer.

Hope that helps! Should you have any further questions, please feel free to post them here.

My Kodak Picture CD will not auto load

If your computer is operating with WINDOWS 95, WINDOWS 98, or WINDOWS NT 4.0 Systems, this CD contains software that automatically launches when you insert the CD. Getting Started:
Insert your Picture CD disc and wait for the software to load (it could take as long as 5 minutes, depending on your machine configuration, CD drive speed, and the number of images on the Picture CD).
Note: This loading process installs some Picture CD program files onto your hard drive. The KODAK Picture CD installer walks you through the steps. The final step may be to restart your computer. If so, be sure to restart to complete the installation.
After your computer has rebooted:
  1. Eject the Picture CD and re-insert it into the CD drive.
    The program should launch automatically.
  2. Click the magazine cover to turn to the Contents Page.
  3. Follow the links to read and do more with your digital photos.
If nothing happens after waiting for the Auto Play, you may need to manually start the Auto Play program. (Auto Play is a program that starts up the CD installation process the first time you use the CD.)
To manually start Auto Play:
  1. Right-click the My Computer icon.
  2. Select Properties from the pop-up menu.
  3. Click the Device Manager tab.
  4. Click the CD-ROM drive icon; click the "+" to view the CD-ROM drive information.
  5. Double-click the CD-ROM driver icon.
  6. Select Properties from the pop-up menu.
  7. Click Settings.
  8. Check Auto insert notification and click OK.
Note: This enables all CDs to automatically run any Auto Play software.
