The solution to this one is simple. Goto to the monitor that does not match and match it through the front panel settings. Also I would check to see if both are set exactly alike in the windows hardware settings.

SOURCE: Lcd monitor 20.1

The white screen is caused by a total lack of control over all pixels. The opposite effect; all black, happens when a failure turns all pixels on, blocking all but a small amount of light.
This could have more than one source; one output of the power supply has failed so the logic section no longer is receiving supply voltage or an external source has damaged the video input of the monitor. The backlight responsible for the white screen is obviously working as this is a separate power supply output to an inverter that powers the backlight lamp.  I'm afraid this is not a DIY repair.

SOURCE: westinghouse lcd monitor 19" - screen turns white

Fade to white might be caused by a bad or open connection to the backplane or bias voltage setting of the LCD. Check the connectors and cables between the LCD and the main board. Also, look for loose or disconnected ground wires.

My monitor comes on and then goes off

Time for a new monitor. I have the same problem. Tried the monitor on three different PCs and it turns on for 2 seconds then goes blank, power stays on (green LED on power switch).
Temporary solution that worked for 1 day was to turn the brightness to 0 if you can manage to keep it on long enough to use the menu.
