I have a smartdrive 601 that needed the cold water solenoid replaced. Got this part from F&P but realised too late that it didn't have the washer fitted (as per old one). consequently the machine flooded when I tried to start it and then all the lights went out when something obviously got wet. Have taken all the parts out and tried to dry, but nothing happens on reassembly. Is there a reset button? The part that seemed to get wet was the microswitch under the controller motor. Is it likely I need to replace this? Any advice would be appreciated.

Even though the resistance of the valve is normal, doesn't mean that it cannot be faulty. Try swapping the valves around and see if you still get cold water coming in through that valve. If not, then the valve is faulty. Don't forget to put the cold valve back where it belongs. There is a difference between the hot and cold valves( cold valve is a proportional valve) but for testing purposes they can be swapped around. To set the size you have to switch the machine off at the wall. Switch it back on again. Wait for all led's to go out. Press & hold the start/pause button while you push the power button. Switch off again and it should be o.k.

This is a poorly made machine with flaws that are never ending. My advice to you is save time and manly aggravation and get rid of this washer.
SOURCE: Fisher & Paykel Intuitive Eco code 49....
code 49 is a faulty cold water valve fault code. If you replaced both the valves, the wires and plugs to them are ok and it's still not working then you need to replace the Main Motor Controller module, there's no way to reset this fault sorry.
PLEASE "rate my solution" thank you.

Hi
I believe it is the water inlet valve that should be
replaced however, please post back with its complete model no and also tell me
if any of the lights are blinking on the control. Please post
back for further assistance.

Just thought I would that after letting it "dry out" for a couple of days, the lights still aren't coming on at the front. Is it likely I have blown something major, or is there a reset button on these machines that needs to be engaged? Many thanks for your consideration!
Thanks Greg, I'll have a look at that. Regards
Thanks Greg, this was the problem! I really appreciate your help.
