Good day!
The file you downloaded in your computer is not supported by your phone. How do you know? please check the file extension format. for example: (.mp3, .mp4, etc.) please download a audio file that suits your phone or download a software where you can convert audio file.
These are the steps that helped me resolve a similar issue I had:
1) Find a computer with Windows XP (ServicePack2)
2) Intall iRiver Music Manager 3.16 from http://iriverinc.com/download/iRiver_Manager_v316sp.exe
3) Download the Firmware update for your player from http://iriverinc.com/download/ifp800/IFP-8XXT.HEX to your Desktop
4) Start the Music Manager and connect your player to the computer. (The XP should recognize your player; and the Music Manager should show the "connected" status)
5) In the Music Manager, click on Tools => Upgrade Firmware, then select the file from your Desktop. NOTE: The upgrade process takes 4 -5 minutes.
After the firmware update, Windows Vista and other PC's should recognize your player.
Try this: disconnect the player from the computer, turn it off, hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard.
After that,
This link should have the firmware upgrade that you need - if you correct the firmware upgrade link and not some other link, then it will not prompt you to do anything with Windows Media Player 11. http://support.rcaaudiovideo.com/downloads.aspx?product=25
Hi, you can try to upgrade the player's firmware, you can download it from the RCA Website (http://support.rcaaudiovideo.com/downloads.aspx?product=187), the firmware it's the second app listed.
If your computer doesn't recognize the player, you'll have to turn it
off and keep "PLAY" pressed for 10 seconds while connecting it to the
USB port, then update the firmware.
try downloading the MP3 player recovery tool from Creative's website (the tool contains the latest firmware update available -- 1.15.03). Plug your ZV+ into your PC, run the program and let it update the firmware. Then format, reload your music and try it.
buying music from walmart.com worked for me. Be sure to only buy the MP3 music (the rep at walmart said that the WMA will not work on the Nextar). Would love to know the names of other compatible websites!
