I have a brother 115c, have installed a new cartridge in cyan, now it says there is no cartridge there, is there anyway i can get it to register the new cartridge?

I have just replaced my ink cartridges too and the brother dc115 will not recognise this. At times it says 'no cartridge' even though it is there and fixed in properly, then if I open and close the lid it just comes up saying 'rplace ink'. I am also a bit annoyed as having taken out the old cartridges they are still half full! Please can someone help.

When I try to print I get a message CANNOT PRINT. Cannjot detect Cyan in k. BUT i have3just PR4OPERLY installed a BRAND NEW BROTHER CARTRIDGE. I have received this message at least 3 times.

ok go to the brothers icon and double click on it run setup, they have a section for it after you install new cartridge. this will set it . might read "install new cartridge" as a caption
to the machine it doesnt know the cyan was replaced and still reads empty

When I replace the cyan cartridge with a new one I keep getting the message"No Cartridge"

hi!!! in that kind of problem maybe the sensor of the cartridge was damage thats why the sensor cannot detect when you install the cartridge. Try another cartridge or maybe try the to re-install old one if the printer detect the old cartridge that means the new cartridge was defective. Thanks

I changed my cyan ink

That definitely sounds like the cartridge isn't registering properly. I would take the cartridge back to where you bought it and ask them to exchange it with a new one. This can happen from time to time.

If the printer was new out of the box, contact the manufacturer for a replacement cartridge. You can reach Brother here

Print black & white?

Your printer will keep using the color cartridges to keep the printing head working even if you don't print in color. If you need to print only in greyscale, buy a cheap HP printer (Printer only, not a PSC) and remove the color cartridge.
