The unit is stuck on "upgrade" on the display panel. I have unplugged several times and it now will not even switch on. How do I fix it?

SOURCE: the disc is stuck and the display reads "No disc".

Ok one easy fix to this is to tilt the player while the system is on whilst constantly pressing the eject button. I once had to even turn the whole thing upside down then back and shake a little until the disk positioned itself properly to eject. good luck

SOURCE: the home theatre system has

Generally speaking, an amp attempts to protect itself from heat, shorts, overloads and operator exuberance by refusing to turn on or stay on.

Overloads can be from excessive periods of high output or marginally low impedance loading by the speakers; and shorts would be wiring issues or a speaker blowing up.

You should be able to feel if it's hot. WHY is it overheating? Make sure it has sufficient ventilation on all sides and that vent holes are not blocked by dust balls. Ensure the fan (if equipped) is running as designed (some only operate on demand). Clean dust and debris from it.

If the amp comes back on after cooling, you're lucky. They only have so many self-protection cycles in their lives so continuously resetting or cycling their power without addressing the cause can do more harm than good.

If it protects immediately on a cool power up you should disconnect the speaker connections and try it 'nekkid'. If it comes up then diagnose which lead(s) are shorted. If it does not come up the problem is internal and should be left to an experienced and competent hands-on tech.

you can watch tv at the same time. Also you can rewind situations on live tv to watch it again. Top unit. I am 73 and I have no problem using it. Love it!

The "bucket full" light blinks even after the

Eddie, turn the unit OFF & unplug it. Then remove the bucket and check the float valve in the top of the bucket. It may be stuck in the 'UP' position or is broken. When reinstalling the the bucket, be sure that it fit's "squarely" from top to bottom in the bucket holder and is making firm contact with the bucket safety removal switch on the rear wall of the bucket holder.

Hope this helped you and thanks for choosing FixYa.

We lost power several times last night during hurricane Irene. The power has been on for several hours now and I noticed the freezer LED display is reading "88" and the fridge display is...

If you don't want to roll the unit out, then turn the circuit breaker off in the panel. The quick disconnect does not reset the electronics for the compressor. Try that and see what happens.

Hi; Our washer displays "Control Panel

jazzbassic,
On the front of the unit is a control lock button, you will need to push and hold that button unit the control panel is unlocked. This should solve this problem. PS you may have pushed the control lock button when you either attempted to open door or just learned on panel, either way this does happen from time to time.

It stops mid cycle and at the digital display it flashes " LE " . What is wrong????

The 'LE' error message indicates the control board has detected that the motor is either not turning, or has locked up for some reason. Monitoring the motor is the job of the hall effect sensor board which constantly determines the direction and speed of the motor and feeds that information back to the control board. If there is a problem between what the motor should be doing and what the hall effect sensor says the motor is doing, the 'LE' will be displayed and the cycle will be stopped.
Motor lock can be caused by several things from a loose connector, to a bad motor, or even the hall effect sensor failing or dislodging from it's mount. Any one or more of these components could have caused this error.
This error can sometimes present because of a miscommunication between the control panel and the wash motor. In this instance, the washer simply needs to be reset.

Step 1: Unplug the washing machine.

Step 2: While the washer remains unplugged, press and hold the [Start/Pause] button on the front panel for 5 seconds.

Step 3: Plug the unit back in, and run a rinse and spin cycle to test if the LE code is cleared.

Projection display

To fix the projection display that is stuck with four 8's, hold down the hour and miute button at the same time. Keep the buttons pressed down while unplugging the power source then pluging it back it. I did this and the screen works like it did when I first got it.

No power

The door switches are designed to prevent the unit from running while the door is open. You probably have a blown fuse, and it's a white or dark grey ceramic fuse of 15A or 20A, available from local big box stores or appliance parts stores. The fuse is usually located on the floor of the chassis behind the control panel, or mounted in the same area as the door switches. Also, I'm really curious how the door switch got stuck while cleaning? That sounds scary...
