Need new download of ISATAP drivers

Greetings,

On a Windows Vista-based computer, the Microsoft ISATAP adapter appears with a yellow exclamation mark (!) next to it in Device Manager.
You can safely ignore this error message. This error message does not indicate a problem with the adapter. The adapter will continue to work correctly.
Check out this article for more information on this:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/932520
If this is still not working,
First try to reset Winsock from command prompt, this will reset all the Network components to default:
Click on start, type CMD,'Right click and Run as Administrator'.
At the command prompt type:
netsh winsock reset catalog
In such a case, I suspect this problem to be caused by network adapter missing or corrupt. Please firstly reinstall the driver for your wireless network adapter. Then try to reinstall Microsoft ISATAP using following steps:
1.In Device Manger, right-click the item of Microsoft ISATAP and select Uninstall.
2.Still in Device Manager, click Action and select Add legacy hardware.
3.Click Next, and select Install the hardware that I manually select from a list (Advanced), click Next.
4.Select Network Adapters and click Next.
5.Select Microsoft in left panel and Microsoft ISATAP Adapter in the right panel.
6.Click Next and finish the remaining wizard.

Repair isatap drivers windows 7

if the drives are working, leave it be. There can be false positives. If the drives are slow or some thing else is odd, try the following solutions. Try to locate the driver needed by going to system devices and looking for a yellow or red icon next to a device. If there are no marked devices, you are probably ok.
Computer icon, properties, select device manager.
Open the properties for that device. details tab, properties and select hardware id. Copy the hardware id information and google it (sample:IDE\CdRomATAPI_iHAS324___B_______________________AL1A____ trimmed and adjusted becomes IDE\Cd Rom ATAPI iHAS324) Find drivers for that hardware if you can and update. You can also just uninstall the device and click rescan from the device manager menu. It should reinstall.

Step1:

However, try the below steps to fix the issue you are experiencing:

2. In Device Manger, right-click the item of Microsoft ISATAP and select Uninstall.

3. Still in Device Manager, click Action and select Add legacy hardware.

5. Select Network Adapters and click next.

6. Select Microsoft in left panel and Microsoft ISATAP Adapter in the right panel.

Step2:

The ISATAP is related to Internet Protocol 6.

Please check if IPv6[Internet Protocol version] is enabled on your computer to obtain an IPv6 address.

however this driver only pertains to ipv6, so your internet adapter should still function properly. if it is, you can do this:

Disable but leave ISATAP in the hardware list and go to your manufacturers Website
and check for Post SP1 Driver updates for your computers Chipset.

Power management software in Windows Vista

Understanding battery charging issues
If the notebook battery is not charging or the notebook does not indicate that the battery is charging, the most likely scenario is that the battery itself is operating correctly, but its power management software may have become corrupt. In order to correct the problem, you will need to uninstall and reinstall the power management software by using the Device Manager. This document will explain how to uninstall and reinstall the ACPI Battery listings in Windows Vista, as well as how to obtain and install updated BIOS files, if needed to correct other battery issues.
Uninstalling and reinstalling power management software in Windows Vista
In order to correct problems with the battery's power management software, follow the steps below.

1. Click Start and type device in the search field, then select Device Manager .

2. Expand the Batteries category.

3. Under the Batteries category, right-click the Microsoft ACPI Compliant Control Method Battery listing, and select Uninstall .
WARNING: Do not remove the Microsoft AC Adapter driver or any other ACPI compliant driver.

4. On the Device Manager taskbar, click Scan for hardware changes .
Alternately, select Action > Scan for hardware changes .
Windows will scan your computer for hardware that doesn't have drivers installed, and will install the drivers needed to manage your battery's power. The notebook should now indicate that the battery is charging.

Microsoft ISATAP Adapter This device is not working properly because Windows cannot load the drivers required for this device.

ISATAP is Microsoft trying to allow IPv6 to function over an IPv4 infrastructure, however, it was released extremely prematurely, and as a result, doesn't like to work, or install. According to Microsoft, your computer should continue to function without ISATAP functioning, and the error message may be ignored. However, if you believe that this may be causing you some problems, then you may navigate to the device manager ( Start > Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Device Manager ) from this window, see if you can find ISATAP adapter and 4TO6 adapter, right-click these, and select "Disable" NOTE: this may cause Internet Explorer and Windows Mail to run slower and have a few errors.

I hope this helps!

Greetings,

You need to download and reinstall the device drivers and system software from your notebook manufacturer's website or reinstall from your system CD. The exclamation point means just that, the device is unable to start because the required DLLs and supporting software are missing.

ISATAP adaptor

you have ipv6 enabled, this is to help the worldwide convergence to ipv6 form ipv4 . were running out of addresses if not already have ran out.
so from what i can tell it works with the tunneling adapter. altho it is still doing stuff on your computer, it's needed to make the internet work right now, if anyone of you have a "microsoft wi-fi miniport adapter" all of a sudden and you also don't like that you can't get rid of it unless you go to the web and download the old driver.
neither the miniport or the isatap adapter are actually "needed" you can get by without isatap if you either disable or uninstall ipv6. virtual wifi isn't needed, but it's uber cool cause it's for your wireless card and if you connect wireless to the internet, it will let you wirelessly share out that connection wirelessly , (like your a wireless router)

i think i should not that "eventually" you will need to install ipv6 to browse the internet.
more importantly it actually isn't designed to be a "TAP" but it certainly could be the target of hackers in the future including the mini-port (only because they are both new)
