Remote problem. I don't know how but I must have inadvertently changed the setting on my remote control. Now whenever I try to change songs/volume/ect/ect It simply displays "remote mode 1" and will not function. any help would be great, I miss my dear ol'remote!

You don't mention which remote you have?

Two issues that might assist. First try to go to: system > console settings > remote control and try changing the options there. Making sure you have the correct setups.

If you do then simply try and change your batteries to your remote. As like the remote controllers... weak or cheap batteries will sometimes cause faulty signal from your remote to your Xbox system.

did you tried to change the battery of your remote control,, there will be a posibility that the battery was already weak,,,

Quick fix try and leave batteries out for a day to see if it looses all memory. Also try uninstalling software removing all user settings, then reinstall and try again.
