Trying to program Shaw Direct IR/RF 600 remote for my new LG NB3520A Sound Bar. The LG Codes listed in audio section of manual don't work & I have had no luck using the "point and press" programming to no avail. Anyone had luck programming this sound bar device to the Shaw Direct universal remote?

i got the same model tv, and had the same problem..call direct tv and tell them you just got the new polaroid tv...i take it you got it at wallmart......anyway,call them up and tell them you want them to send you a updated remote...since the tv is so new,(came out in october of 08)...your older remote doesnt have the new code for it.

On the LG DVD remote press the VSM button (just to the right of the volume button) until PL II MOVIE is displayed on the DVD front panel. This will send sound to the back speakers as well as the front.
(I still don't think this is true 5.1ch surround sound however but the cloestest I've been able to get)
BTW you'll need to have an optical audio cable connecting the Plasma / LCD and the DVD. DVD input will need to be set to AUX OPT.

dont know how to program the remote, but u can adjust the volume manually by using the dial. similar to an ipod if you move your finger clockwise around the dial the volume will increase, and counter clockwise will decrease

the remote has too small buttons. Is there a universal remote available with larger buttons ?????
2. Press the RECEIVER POWER button on the remote.
3. Press the UP ARROW on
the remote, about one press every two seconds. Stop as soon as the sound bar turns
off. This process may take several minutes.
4. Press POUND (#) on the remote. The VCR MODE button will
flash three times.
5. Press VCR MODE button, then red TV button on the remote to turn on the sound bar. Press
VOLUME on the remote to confirm the remote controls the sound bar. If this does not
work, return to Step 1.
Remember to press the SAT MODE button to return to the Satellite mode to change channels.
