The fan on the back of our Samsung 5065w HLN television is getting very loud

If your TV looks 3D, warped, or distorted it likely has a convergenge problem.
If however it just looks dull, washed out, redish, greenish, or blueish or if it looks like objects on the screen have halos the fluid in the lens has soured.
You can search google for parts or you can get the parts with repair instructions from sites such as www.TvRepairKits.com

You have a fuse or 2 open.

Your Convergence has gone out and very likely needs work, this is the most common problem inthese big screens.
You may not be able to realign that picture without some new parts unfortunately.
There are some circuits that align the RED, GREEN, and, BLUE, picture tubes to make the picture you see.

The components that do that job are called "convergence" circuitry. The usual components to fail are the "Convergence Amplifiers" which are usual a pair of Integrated Circuits mounted to a large heat sink.

the repair cost is between 200 to 400 usd.

On U_Tube, there is a video that shows the replacement proceedure. I understand it is quite good. My neighbor used it and it went in pretty easy. If you Google the model # it should be able to give you a link to it.

if the problem is the colour wheel there is a slight delay when first turned on.If the colour wheel is at fault it is located right adjacent to the lamp it is pretty easy to change with 2 screws holding it in place.they are about 100 to 150

I have a problem with my HLN 5065W Samsung DLP that 3 other folks have and no solution. After the set is on from 5 minutes to 6 hours, the screen will freeze in black and white, I can turn it off for 5 minutes and it will display a good picture again. Sometimes the screen will just go dark blue, TV has to be cycled on/off to get the display back. This problem is getting worse, started as once a month, now 3-5 times a day. I have a tech background and can read a schematic, HELP.

As ima_rm2000 noted, the HLN is manual focus.  There is a focus ring at the base of the lens assembly.  Here is PDF of the focus assembly.  You have to remove the back of the set to access this, and tape/tie the lamp door switch closed so the TV will power up so you can focus it.

I have the HLM-5065W DLP TV. Replaced lamp 1 year ago. It attemps to start 3 times before shutting down. then all light are flashing. I hear an electrical sparking and I see the bulb flicker but that it. Did the bulb go out again? IF so why so soon. If not what is the problem??
