the trim piece around the radio has 6 clips, 3 on each side gently pry that piece off, i use plastic trim removal tools to do this. then there should be 4 bolts holding it in the dash. Dissconnect the power and speaker plugs and your all done.
This is more difficult than it looks because the rear trim panels must be removed in a certain order as they overlap at their edges.
First remove the rear seat. Remove the step panel from the floor near the side door opening. Unbolt the 2 seat belt anchors. Remove the trim panel below the lift gate (rear hatch opening.) Pry the screw plugs out with a small screwdriver and remove the screws. Pry out the rear speaker grill using a flat blade screwdiver that has been taped to prevent scratches. Remove the rear speaker mounting screws. Pull the speaker out and unplug the connector. Remove the passenger side trim panel mounting screws. Use a panel clip removal tool and pry the clips that hold the trim panel then lift the panel away.
Hello... sorry about hearing about your problem! Here is the correct procedure for removing your radio. (little late now eh??) First you need to remove the trim around the shift knob with the plastic removal tool. Then remove the panel with the storage pocket, and unplug the power outlet plug. Next remove the trim panel which goes across from the passenger side to the ignition switch and underneath/around the radio/climate controls. Note: you will need to unsnap the instrument cluster panel to allow trim panel to completely come out. After this you will remove the 6 (7mm) screws holding the radio/climate controls together. Then, viola! You have your radio out....(after unplugging it of course!) Hope this helped and good luck with your venture. Depending on the wiring harness adapter you have, you may have to run an ignition wire to power up your radio (the red wire).
When using the trim with mics such as SM58's, etc. the trims often wind up at about 3 o'clock in normal use. You set the trims by pressing the PFL buttons down and setting the level using the led display histogram so that at maximum level of talking/singing the display never goes clear up to clipping.
IF you have feedback, then you have issues of mic location and speaker location. The critical point of feedback is far too critical to set with the trim controls.
Your main speakers should be toward the audience from the mics, not so the mics can "hear" the main speakers.
Monitor speakers are ALWAYS a problem with feedback... performers want more monitor, but depending on the acoustics of a stage, reflection from the back can get into the mics or the mics may not be directional enough... SIngers that choose to hold the mic and wave it around are a soundman's nightmare! They let the mic point toward a monitor and away goes the feedback.
The PMP5000 has a lot of power.
While your at it, PLEASE read my tip on FIXYA about PMP mixers regarding the hazard of using Speakon to 1/4 inch speaker cables... ESSENTIALLY never allow the barrel of channel "A" output 1/4 inch to be grounded as it, instead of the tip of the jack is the HOT lead !!!! This isn't in the user manual... I fix these things and discovered this hazard from the schematics.
Did you find the one inside the door pull cup ?
Remove the push pin rivet on the upper rear edge of the trim panel and the screw at the upper front edge near the mirror.
Remove the trim panel fasteners at the pull cup and lower the rear corner of the trim panel.
Pull up on the door trim panel assembly to disengage the trim panel to door structure attaching hooks and remove the door trim panel.
Did you try watching a video on youtube ?
4. possibilities.
1.a grommet on the firewall is missing
2.a grommet under the carpet is missing
3.windscreen been replaced and not fully sealed
4.the diaphram(thin plastic film)behind the door trim is not sealed around the edges.
happy hunting......
you must remove the door trim panels. the speakers are bolted to the door behind the trim panels. there are a few screws and push clips around the edge of the panels.
You have a leak where the back plate goes up to the wall OR there is a gasket missing from the trim installation. If this is a tile shower i would suspect the first and use clear tub/tile chaulking to seal around the edge of the plate paying close attention to the grout lines.
