I've had my camera for over a year now, never had any issues at all, last week I got a card error when I switched it on, the error message screen will not go away and I can't do anything with it.
I've taken the batteries out and removed the card, still nothing, can anyone please help me at all ?

Hi Please check your cameras capability to support larger sized SD cards. It may not support those two SD cards. Also check for slide locks on the side of the cards and slide them to 'open' before inserting.
There are several possible causes for "memory card locked", "memory card error", or "no memory card". The most common cause is having the tiny slide switch on the side of the card in the wrong position. But, if you've checked the slide switch, the internal switch in the card slot may be jammed by a grain of sand or gunk. Here are troubleshooting steps for this problem. This error message means that the card is corrupted or formatted for another digital camera. Turn off the camera. Insert a new card or format the card.
Try to format the memmory card using a card reader and the PC this should solve your problem if not you have to replace the memmory card.
There is a problem with the card and is coming up with errors and top of that there may be underline issues that are not obvious at this point with the camera. But it would be to your advantage to take it back to the store for exchange.
Is the slide switch on the side of the card in the unlocked position? When was the last time you formatted the card? Download any pictures from it now using a card reader if necessary and then format it in the camera.
Try connect camera to computer and insert memorycard. If it still doesnt read memory card then its nothing u can do with this problem. Take the camera back to the store for repair.
