Attempting to download tomtom.com/home. Did not load automatically, so did as suggested and searched for tomtom.com/home. Google asks if I want tomtom.mobile, etc.
Do not have broadband. What do you suggest?

When you connect your TomTom (using the TomTom HOME application on your computer) ... and you sign in to your TomTom account, it will automatically do a scan/search to see if there's any update(s) for your TomTom device.
If you see the an update (available) for your Navigation software, select it and proceed to download and install it. MapShare updates are also identified and can be selected, downloaded and installed (free).
If you're asking whether you can update the map free ... the answer is NO ... not from the TomTom website. You'll have to buy a map update (subscription) and download the new version of the map and install it.
do a google search for tomtom then connect it to your computer after installing tomtom home and it should automatically update, you will firstly need to set up an account with tomtom though. (free i think)
Did you download tomtom home software for free? if not go too tomtom.com, download the program and then connect your device too your computer and it should ask if you want to connect click yes and then the update screen should appear and search automatically.
Make you have tomtom home installed on your computer, if not google the above and download it, Once installed connect device too computer via USB lead, and then click yes when it asks if you want to connect to computer, Then it should automatically check for updates, then just follow the on screen instructions.

Hi, Here's a link for tomtom home. I would suggest that you try to download it again. When the download starts choose 'save' instead of open. Save it to your desktop (easier to find). after download is complete double ckick the file on your desktop and let it install. You should have no problem doing it this way.
TomTom mobile is something different entirely.

have you tried setting your home address on the tomtom itself? I was having the same problem until I did that and then it downloaded. But it wont download by itself. You have to go into your "my computer" file and find the tomtom device and select installtomtomhome
