TomTom 920 GPS Activation code
Unless your TomTom device comes with a "life-time" map, you need (to pay for a map update and) get an activation code everytime to wish to install a new/revised map on your device. Update maps for Tom Tom Go 700, including those for East Europe
Even when you do that it doesn't really update it just updates the software so that it looks like you can update the maps but when you touch to update it just tells you, you have to get an updated map for about $100.00 US. This is bull because you pay upward of 400.00 for this GPS. Then you have to pay pay and pay out of pocket over and over again. But like any computer its always the software that make it or breaks it in this market.....

If it is a config problem, the unit can be reset to factory settings.
To reset your TomTom device, do the following:
- Check that the battery is charged properly. Charge your device for at least 2 hours before trying to turn it on again.
- Reset your navigation device. Press and hold the On/Off button until you hear the drum sounds and the device restarts. This can take 30 seconds or more.
