Where can I get a replacement fuse for my Oster precise blend 12?

Hello, Frances -

Your question landed in the Fixya.com category of Furniture. I re-categorized your question to the Oster Blenders category.

I found the following information regarding Oster blender built in fuses:
(Quote)
The built in fuse protection has kicked in. To turn the blender back on, first turn the control knob to "Off" and unplug the unit from the wall. Then remove the jar from the base and free the blade of any obstructions. Next, press the external resettable fuse button on the bottom of the base. Wait 30-45 minutes for the unit to cool.

Question: My blender shut off during use. What happened?

If you try that possible solution and the blender still does not start, then . . .this is the link to the Oster Contact Us page:
https://www.oster.com/customerservicecontact?cid=contactus

At the very bottom of the page you will find toll free Customer Service phone numbers.

Or . . .

Fill in the form there, asking about the availability of a replacement fuse for your model of Oster blender, so that you can send an email message.

Best wishes.

My Oster microwave. Last night we had a pretty big storm, this mourning I tried to use my microwave, No power. I switch plug in outlet ...Nothing happens. How do I get the power back on ?

Depends on what blew, if ti is a power surge is will blow out the low voltage transformer on the main board before it will blow the fuse in the unit, so Probably will need new main board. Problem will be finding someone who carries parts for Oster Microwvaes.

I have an oster wine cooler model #owo912H6H that was not cooling i took the back off and have a blinking red and green light and a fan that would **** and run a few turns and stop i cleaned the fan and it...

Hi,

It seems this is either due to faulty fan or fan motor. This could be a reason that the wine cooler is not cooling at optimum rate. As i cannot see the cooler, this is what i could judge from the information you gave to me.

I would still say, it would be worth repair, if this is due to faulty fan or motor ( motor seems to be the main cause ).

The main tough thing would be to get fan motor. You could try to get a replacement motor or a compatible one from the parts store near your home and give a shot. More likely, you would be successful, if the fault is related to motor.

Let me know,if needed further assistance.

Hope i helped you.

Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!

Hi, could be faulty thermostat, can you check compressor, is compressor running (working), listen to compressor for clicking sound, unplug it(switched off) for about 20 minutes, replug and let it run (work) for another 20 mins. see if temp. drops, what about temp. inside bottle (wine) cooler, is it 98 or colder, more info. could be valuable. check thermostat, check to see if compressor operates, if cooler temp. 98. remove you products, to another cooler, call mechanic.

Wine Cooler Does NOT get cool.

Here is the web site to locate your closest oster service center. They should be able to tell you what their charge will be up front so that you can compare that charge to the cost of a new one.

Now days, sadly, many of these items are too costly to repair so they go to the landfill..
