My Samsung YP-T9 had frozen

I think holding down menu and the record button at the same time should fix it. I read the best solution and it just turned on. I was having the same problem, mine would not turn on either but just try pressing and holding down the record and menu button for about 5 seconds.

Look sir.The yp-t9 can only play svi files.In order to put the videos into your yp-t9 you must hav samsung media studio and also the videos must be in either mp4,avi or wmv format.And then use Samsung media studio to put the videos into your yp-t9,samsung medai studio will convert the videos into svi format which your yp-t9 can read.

Reset is a better alternative....

How Do I Reset The YP-T9? To reset the YP-T9:

1. Turn the power on.
2. Press and hold both the [MENU] button and the [A/B] Button. The device will turn off.

Yp-t9 can only play svi files.First convert those mp4 files into avi or wmv files.And use samsung media studio to put them into your yp-t9.The samsung media studio will convert ai and wmv files to svi.Or jus try to convert those mp4 files with Samsung media studio.It converts sometimes.

Hold the power button for about 15-20 seconds so the device can reset..get the latest firmware update for the device..

Look sir.The yp-t9 has a minor problem of freezing.When it freezes just press the rec button and menu button together this would reset your yp-t9.This will help.

The same thing happened to me. I pressed the AB and Menu button together for a few seconds and it came back on.

Congratulations on the purchase of your T9 ! The T9 has won many reviews, and rated very high for value for $'s. Now, depending on how long this unit has been sitting since it's manufacture, all new units usually require a 'wake-up'. The initial wakeup charging is critical to the battery's life, so follow instructions carefully, re charging. Then, "re-set" the T9 (ie hold both 'Menu' & 'A-B' buttons together, for 3 secs to re-initialise the built-in firmware). This procedure will overide everything. If this gets it goin, then download the latest firmware update from Samsung website (download centre/mp3) and save newest firmware onto your T9 - your manual should explain how to do this. Always update your T9 with latest firmware when available (appropriate with your Windows OS), to eliminate any bugs in the firmware. IVE JUST SEEN ON MY PC THAT IF YOU HOLD THE A AND B BUTTONS TOGETHER WITH THE MENU BUTTON THAT MIGHT HELP, MAKE SURE YOU HOLD TOGETHER AND FOR AT LEAST 7-10 SECONDS. I WILL LOOK AND ASK AROUND TODAY FOR YOU  WHEN I GO OUT, CHEERS pedro2
