Won't work bought rca 32" truflat (32F530T) in 4/2004. tv sat in climate controlled storage for 2yrs. just got it out of storage 3 weeks ago, and now it's dead. watched morning news, turned it off, came home that evening, and it wouldn't turn on. no warning signs. tv has been watched probably than 30 times in its short career. is there anything a novice like myself can do to repair? fuse? from research, RCA seems to be having problems with their tv's.

First of all, you must ahve its original remote control to unlock FPA lock. If you have it, go through the folloing steps.
* Hold down Menu button on the remote control, and the Volume Down button on the at the same time for at least 4 seconds. "The set won't say so, but the lock will be released".
** Hold down Zero button on the remote control, and the Volume Down button on the TV. The set won't say so, but the lock will be released.
*** Hold down Menu button on the front of the TV and the TV button on the remote at the same time for at least 4 seconds. The set won't say so, but the lock will be released.

sounds like a blown fuse either in the plug or the tv , if so just need anew fuse

If you can hear sound and the sound coems from your TV, try changing the volume with teh TV remote control. Your TV isn't off it is still on. Just the video board or portion is cutting out. this could be a ton of things, I would try changing out the power strip or plugging the tv into the wall directly to make sure it has enough power. other then that you can try a home brew solution like putting a fan next to your tv to cool the component that seems to be overheating and shutting down your picture.

hello . it sounds like a high volatge problem . the tripler and the or the fly back transform. is bad. and thats what is huming. sound that you hear. time to get a new set. Good luck

This has happened to me quite frequently. I have replaced the fuse at least 8 times. You just take off the back of the t.v. and on the bottom you will see a small glass fuse. just pop it out and go to radio shack and get a pack of replacements. about 4 for 3 dollars.

iv come across that this model wasnt successful..try taking this tv back to the dealer..if nothingwrks..then its time u buy another one..srry

I received this solution:
"This was apparently caused by using replacement flybacks. Add a .001uf cap (102k@2kv) from RL03 (the side away from the FBT) to ground. This will shift the picture a little then compensate a little with parameter 15."

In my case, i used an other flyback the HR8934 from Diemen to get a more stable picture without blooming, and add a 440pF (two 220pF capacitor in parallel) instead of .001uf to eliminate the tearing lines..
