I just got a JVC KD-G210 radio for my car. I have 1998 Monte Carlo and it has the volume and scan buttons on the steering wheel. how do i get them to work with my new radio?

If this critter has an airbag in the steering wheel, and I'll bet it does; then you should have this done by a dealer. Pulling the wheel off and replacing the multifunction switch underneath needs to be tended to by a trained person.
Hold the SEL button down for more than 3 seconds. A sub menu appears. Use the track select arrow key to select the hours, rotate the volume knob to correct hour. Press track select key to select minutes, rotate volume to appropriate minute. press select again to finish. If this doesn't help, go to jvc.com, then go to support, then user manuals, enter model number. You can dowload the entire manual for free. Good luck
Unfortuantly the steerring wheel audio controls can only interface with a stock radio. Once you replace the stock radio the buttons are useless and cannot be hooked up to any aftermarket radio, this goes for all makes and models of cars with audio controls on the wheel.
