Do you have power going to both the red and yellow wires? The red wire generally goes to a switched power source and the yellow should be constant. Both wires need to have power going to them in order for the unit to work properly.

press the select button then scroll with the up and down button until h or m light up on screen then press vol button up and down to set or keep your finger on the sel button and adjust with left up down then press right up down to select hour or minutes

try either pressing the reset switch if there is one, or disconnect power to the radio for an hour or so.

Some players get set to a default like when it was fresh out of the box when power is removed. Since you radio from the factory knows there is no disc in it, it thinks there is nothing to eject. Push the reset button and your disc should eject.

disconnect the speaker wires at the unit and tape them off one by one. Then re-power up the unit, if it still shuts down, it is an internal problem and needs service. If it stays on, re-connect one speaker at a time and test power again. When you find the speaker with the problem it will shut off. It's going into protection and keeping itself from damage. Once you find the bad wire or speaker, check the wire by disconnecting it "at the speaker" and turning the unit back on. if it still cuts out, replace the wire. If it stays on, meter the speaker by checking it for resistance, if your meter reads 1..... the speaker is blown and needs to be replaced. If your not handy with a meter, go to any car audio shop with the speaker and they can test it for you, usually for free. Hope this helps.

i use a fm transmitter in my car with this radio . what you do is connect the device to an mp3 player and it transmits the music to the radio on this cd player. its so simply really and mine cost €40 and you can get it in almost all electric stores.

You need to swap the red and yellow round so it dont loose its memory everytime you turn the key off, JVC normally have a fuse that can change position if you want the power on all the time. Check the handbook.

you need to make sure the red wire is connected to the battery via a fuse(normally inline or in the back of the unit) and the yellow is connected to ignition live(ignition needs to be on to give power). if the red wire is not permanantly live then the pre-program function will be reset every time you turn the ignition off.

Your wires are probably backwards. the yellow one is for memory and it gets wired to direct battery voltage to hold the memory. The red wire is for power when key is turned on.
