There are plenty of places to run the ground wire to the board. The majority of the wide traces are ground traces. This can be repaired but you must know what is and is not a ground trace and how to connect broken traces if necessary. This is serious business when you talk about repairing the voltage input so be sure or get help if you don't know for certain what you are doing.

Need schematics for Peavey max 112 bass amp. Power circuit board has copper traces burned off so a layout of the board traces will do... Thanks for any help

Try to find a new board. Trust me, you are not going to fix it - there is a reason the traces and board are showing burn marks. Either scrap it or just buy another one. If you toss it cut the power cord off next to the chassis.

I have a IPSO commercial dryer Model # DR30STG. It spins but does not get hot

Remove control board and look at bottom side. There will probably be a burned spot near a large relay. The copper trace is not heavy enough to handle the current. Poor design. You can fix it by either soldering across the broken trace or replace the trace with a 14 or 16 gauge wire. I used an insulated 14 gauge wire on mine and soldered one end to the pin on the connection for the relay on the solder side of the circuit board and the other end to the solder connection of the burned trace, totally replacing the copper trace.

JVC RV-NB50 has no power from either the batteries or AC cord. How can I get it fixed. Warranty has expired.

inside there must be a transformer for the ac and i would assume that it works fine but that a component on the circuit board that runs both AC and DC has failed. look for 4 diodes or a 4 legged voltage rectifier and or a resistor after it. Look for burned circuit traces on the under side of the board.

The fuse blows for my parking/tail lights as soon as I turn them on in my '96GMC truck. Started out every once and a while, now its instant. Is there a typical problem with this? Where do I start...

Quick lesson... on each bulb (or load on the circuit) you have a power side and a ground side. Blowing the fuse is a short to ground on the power side. You're looking for continuity (zero resistance) to ground on the power side.

For each circuit you do the following, ignition and power off.
1) Remove the bulb.
2) With your mulitmeter set as a ohmmeter, measure the continuity to a good known ground point on both sides of the circuit at the bulb socket.

You should have one side with continuity (this is the ground side) and one side with very high resistance to ground, or no continuity (this is the power side).

Your problem circuit will have continuity to ground on both sides of the circuit. Trace down where this is shorting and you just solved the problem.

I have a whirlpool side by side refrigerator model no GS5SHAXNB00 refrigerator light blew this morning i replaced the bulb no lights working on refrigerator side and temp control settings

you need to replace the main/board for sure located in the lower rear left hand wall of the unit in a plastic case, it will have 3 wire harnesses unplug the unit, undo the plastic container and unplug the the board and there will be a burned spot on the case and burned trace on the circuit board, reason being, this is very common on any of these sideXsides,if a light blows out in the refrige compartment it puts a surge on the board and burns the circuit trace open, this makes the digital temp read-out go dark and if the lamps light at all they "strobe" dimly or not at all,and you will hear a clicking of the relays in the rear area trying to latch the light bulb circuitry, but cant because the main/mother-board is defective now

Loud ticking noise when i close freezer and lights on icemaker flash like a stobe light. fridge and freezer wont hold temp. ice amker and water dispenser dont work?

if your lights burned out recently and the digital temp read-out is now dark also, burned out lights will cause a power surge and will destroy the main-board circuit trace(mother-board), it is located in the back side of the refrigerator, in a small plastic case, when you remove it you will see a burned spot on the circuit board and the loud clicking sound is a relay on the board trying to latch to light the bulbs and operate the unit

No sound

What brand of reciever are you using. Most pioneers have a floating signal ground and the shield of the input at the amp needs to be connected to chassi ground. Also if you had a previous amp failure and the power ground in your old amp opened the current to power the amp will flow through the signal ground of the reciever and burn the copper trace on the circuit board in the reciever. test this by connecting signal cable shield to car reciever chassi.

No power to the amp i touched the power wire to the side of the amp

It probably burned a trace on the circuit board.

With the amp hooked up normally and the head unit on (so the amp will have remote voltage), do you read 12v DC anywhere on the case of the amp (black meter probe on the ground terminal of the amp)?

If there is no voltage on the case, confirm that you have 12v on the B+ and remote terminals of the amp (black probe on ground terminal of the amp).

Majic Chef cabinet mounted microwave oven model VM11B-8P

On the electronic control board, the circuit trace will open like a fuse if the light bulb power becomes shorted. If you or someone knows how to use a soldering iron, this can be repaired.
1. Remove the top grille. (Two screws on top)
2. Remove screw above button panel. Push up on panel to remove.
3. Remove circuit board from panel. Look on reverse side for a burned, open circuit trace.
4. Repair circuit trace everything should work again....
