My RCA 46inch flat screen has a blue line what is wrong

Blue line is on left side about 6 to 8 inches in and is about 2 inches wide. Will appear when it wants and disappears when a black screen comes up. My son plays games mainly on this tv less than a year old.

SOURCE: Vertical Black line 3 inch width on Plasma Samsung 42C96HD after 2 months of use

On al the plasma tvs there are control boards on the lower part of the screen that control the vertical images. If one of the chips on one of the boards fail, have a bad connection, or no ground it will result in a thick black lne down the screen. Seeing as the tv is new I would get the warrantee repair on it. There is a possibility that there is a problem with the screen itself but more than likely its the boards.

SOURCE: Black Vertical line appeared on my Daewoo Plasma

Bad connection somewhere along the bottom or top of the panel, there are boards most likely along the bottom of the screen that control vertical drawing, a connection that breaks as it is heated up sounds about right. check the connectors along the bottom. Be very careful because if you wreck em the screen is junk. The connector that will be at fault will be in direct line with the black bar.

SOURCE: my rca tv wont show the color red. it comes up

Needs to be calibrated or the red gun is out. Contact the manufacturer for technical support, they should be able to provide instructions for advanced calibration using the remote. If that doesn't work, they may be able to send someone out to replace parts (if it can't be brought in.)

Panasonic TC-P42S2 .. Transparent 2 inch wide vertical discoloration on panasonic 42 inch plasma, very left of the screen.

Fixed mine, myself! Black 3 inch vertical band (stripe) appeared after a cros country move on our PC-T50G10. Occasionally we would see white band with multicolored pixel width stripes. Took the risk of taking off the back to see if I could see anything. Found places on sides and bottoms where plastic like 2" flat cables could be seen. Guesstimated where the band was and found that I could flip down a black cover on one end of the cable. Tried to pull it, gently. Mistake. Realized it wouldn't one out like computer hard drive cables, so I took out the screws holding the plate on the other end (it's only an inch long). That allowed me remove the cable. Took it out, cleared away dust, put t back and closed the black over. It worked! Put the screws back in, back on and... we are happy (although I do have four extra screws!). Just be gentle.

When I turn on my tv all that comes on is three 6"blue lines no picture is my tv toast

Hi:
If these lines are at least 2 inches wide then the problem is the display driver boards or some call them the Buffers boards, if the lines are less then 2in in wide and are very thin lines then the PDP is bad (Screen).

A LINE JUST APPEARED DOWN THE LEFT HAND SIDE OF THE LCD, IT IS BLUE, IT IS A MATSUI 42 INCH LCD ONLY 1 YEAR OLD. IT IS ONLY A THIN LINE BUT GOES FROM THE TOP TO THE BOTTOM OF THE SCREEN.

There is something that is wrong with your LCD panel. The only way to fix it is to replace the whole LCD panel which is very expensive ($500+) and time consuming (need to take whole TV apart).

Line on screen

It sounds like the actual LCD is damaged, i've seen some cases where it was a damaged cable going to the LCD screen but if the cable looks ok then it is probably the lcd screen.
