This sounds like a an internal problem if the blue does not disappears after you tried to reset the tv. I would suggest that you bring it in to a TV repair speciaest. It sounds like the control board may need to be replace or there may be some cold solderings that need to be resolidered

diy HDTV Plasma tv repair tv reparar the red green blue color stripe line vertical bars T- control t-con ...
i have an lg plasma it has a green line down the center what. .... Essentially I just disconnected the flat cable around where the vertical line was, sprayed it with a ...
Hello Depending how wide the line is their could be two possible causes.
I have two questions for you.
1. How wide is the line.
2. Does it run from top of screen to bottom of screen?
If the line is thin a single strait line then it is possible the PDP has gone Bad (Panel). (Screen). The screen will to be replaced.
If the line is at least 2 or more inches wide then its a buffer board which can be replaced. LG calls this board Hand insert Boards or display driver boards..
there is a defected capacitor in the vertical circuit trouble shoot and replace. or if the vertical circuit is separate then replace the whole board.good luck
You will definately want to call LG and have them refer you to an auth. service center for warranty repair. This is either a failed scan bd or mayber even a bad plasma panel and there is nothing simple for a problem as you describe.
YES YOU HAVE DRY JOINTS UNPLUG FROM POWER SUPPLY REMOVE THE BACK/ INSIDE YOU SHOULD SEE AT THE BOTTOM SEVERAL RIBENED CONECTORS FROM THE SCREEN ITSELF? UNDERNEATH YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO SEE 2 OR 4 COMPONENTS CAREFULLY APPLY A HOT SOLDERING IRON AN SOLDER THE ONE THAT YOU ARE HAVEING PROBLEMS YOU SHOULD NOW HAVE FULL PICKTURE AGAINE ANY PROBS email me [email protected]
