Polaroid tlx-03210b no power to backlight

Bought the tv not working, opened the back and found two Blown caps. I replaced the two caps today and still have the same problem, push the power button front led turns blue and a minute later the led on the power supply starts flashing. I unplugged the back light plug and turned the tv on and got an image on the screen. I tested the power output of the back light plug and got 0v. Tested directly on the underside of the board with same result. The problem is, with the plug plugged in I get no image at all and unplugged I get the Polaroid logo. Not sure what else could be wrong since all other caps seem to be fine and I don't want to replace all of them. I heard the transformers could be bad but how do I test them? What am I missing here?

Tlx-03210B black screen

More than likely your t.v has bad capacitors that power up the light bulbs that light up the screen. I had the same problem with a similar Polaroid t.v. and replaced two bad capacitors and that solved the problem. Take the back off of the t.v. and look for capacitors that are bulged at the top. The capacitors have the model number on the side. I found replacement capacitors at www.digikey.com for a very low price. Here is a video that you can watch on how to replace the capacitors. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YCSNWi3UHf4

Polaroid tlx-03210b lcd tv tv will not turn on

Yes I think that would be the problem, aswell as some dry (cracked solder joints). A bad cap is usually bulged on the top and looks like this:

Polaroid tlx-3210b tv will not turn on the red light comes on and the blue light comes on when you hit the power button but still no picture or sound have to unplug tv to turn off blue light. contacted...

Hi,
Symptom shows that Mani Board is bad in your TLX-03210B Polaroid TV and need to be replaced. I do not see problem of capacitors in power supply board. Problem seems in system control section of TV that is located on main board.
Click Shop Jimmy as it is best source to obtain boards of LCD TVs.
Please call Shop Jimmy for main board availability as currently its out of stock.

Hit "add a comment" button for further query / info.
Thanks.
