37" Polaroid LCD TV No signal appears when select channel

I was having same problem, and think I got lucky and found fix.

Try unplugging the TV and waiting 30 seconds, then plug back in.

You will likely get blue screen with "No Signal".

Go to Menu, then scroll down to "Setup". Select "Factory Reset" then hit "Yes."

This did it for me. Wish you all luck.

37" polaroid lcd tv won't turn on

First, I am no tech, this is at your own risk! I have a flm-373b which is out of warranty 15mths. A nice paper weight. Plug it in, blue light, no picture or audio. So I got the service manual and started taking it apart. Pulled out the so called control box and at the top is what appears to be some sort of power inverter board. I looked closely and saw that there were 2 capacitors that looked damaged. One was bulged and the other looked like it had popped. They were side by side, green and marked 1000Uf 10v. I took the board to work with me and unsoldered the capacitors and very carefully replaced them with 1000Uf 16v caps. This was just a crazy chance. When I got home I put everything back together, ran 2 extension cords to the back porch and plugged it in. The tv came on faster than when it was brand new. Now I have waited 3 weeks to post this, just in case my house burned down, but the tv is still working great. Again this is at your own risk. Polaroid is not helpful and they want you to spend more money to correct their problem which will probably not correct anything. I really do wish you luck with this or with putting up with polaroids BS.

Speakers in TV making a buzzing noise.

Try a reset to default settings. If that does not clear it I would suggest that it is either a hardware fault or interference A constant buzzing might be interference from the power control card. What happens if you move the set elsewhere. Also, try it on another aerial, maybe there is a problem there....perhaps

37"polaroid FLM-373B

Hey guys, I read the solution about replacing the 10v 1000muf caps in the power supply module. I was ready to throw the set out. I tore apart an old old old Jerrold 700 converter and found a couple of caps that were 1000muf. One was 26v and the other was 52v. Anyway, the set works great now and I now have a 37" LCD in my shop to watch the Leafs!!!!
Thanks for the advice.

Just put in new power supply board .was working maybe 10 minutes and it went out. Power supply does turn on and off with remote. What could be the problem?

possible inverter board bad or bad main board. disconnect inverter board and see if set comes on..if it does then inverter board is bad..if it does not then suspect main board.

Panasonic tc-p42x1 powesupply board change and still have 9 blinks

These blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit stage inside it. This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power led, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times. Count it carefully. If you wish to get some details, check the site linked here. It has details about blinking codes, and fault locating, to many popular brand TVs and other devices. No picture but has sound

if it has sound but no picture, check this.. shine a strong flash light on the screen in various angles, you may see some signs of a picture. but it most likely sounds like the CCFL inverter has gone bad.. usually bad caps.. hope this helps you...

Polaroid FLM373b No power.

When the filter capacitors went out , the power supply will feed AC instead of DC into the circuit board and may have damaged other circuits. Do you get the 5vdc standby voltage? it should be on one of the power supply out put connector the minute the you plug in the TV, you must have this before go further.
