This model has very SHlTTY capacitors that are located too close to a heatsink and several other problems.

Also, Polaroid had a class action lawsuit against them due to their TVs being horrible quality and fire hazards, flase claims of UL listing, knowing about these issues without issuing recalls and other stuff like that.

It may be possible to repair it by replacing the electrolytic capacitors, but it might not be safe.

I just got through fixing one with same problem and same model.There is 2 capacitors side by side that is 10Uf 450V.I replaced those and fixed my problem.

The power supply is internal so all you should need is a power cord comparable to those used for a desktop/tower computer. Ebay is one source, a computer store, an electronic store. possibly even some home centers may have a replacement cord.

Yes,USA,Mexico and Canada use NTSC signal frequencies for tv recieption for broadcasting chanels signal.Asia,Europe,Austriala,Middle East and Africa use PAL signal frequencies for tv recieption for broadcating chanels signal.Two recieption signals don't mix NTSC,PAL are two difference frequencies.If u live and move in and out one continent to the next.U should of buy a tv that call Multiple Regions free tv,this tv can used all over the world.

1. Press and hold the SETUP button until the red indicator stays on, then release the SETUP button.
2. Press and release the desired Mode button (TV, VCR, etc.). The red indicator blinks, then stays lit.
3. Enter the 4 digit code from the code tables. Note: after a valid code entry, the red indicator turns off. For an invalid code, the red indicator flashes.
