If this clicking is a continuous clicking sound its likely that its coming from the ballast. The ballast is the component that powers the lamp.If this component fails your lamp wont ignite and wont allow the start up to continue.

Hello, I have no sound on JVC AV-56P575. When

I have had the same problem. It usually happens when changing from a non-HD channel to a HD. It has been doing since the purchase of the TV. Instead of going through the headache of a service call, I have been turning it off, wait a couple of minutes and then turn it back on. The sound returns and the issue will not repeat itself for at least a couple of weeks.

Tv won't turn on

I think its a defective convergence chip/circuit and need a tech to replace it. It could cost about $300 or so.
