Check to see if the door sags at all and doesn't line up correctly with the door latch. Then check to see if the drum wobbles when you rotate it yourself when not in use.

SOURCE: My model #gltr1670aso makes loud noises during spin cycle

Usually this is due to either the drum support breaking or the back bearing being bad-neither easy to fix- or worth it. Try lifting the drum up and down, if it moves up and down they are bad. I see this a lot, and the price of repair isn't worth it. Craig

My affinity front load washer will not complete any cycle and the display screen goes blank.. what could be the problem

Hey friend, I appreciate your post!

From my understanding your Frigidaire washer, LTF7000ES0, will not complete a cycle and the display will also go blank. It sounds like it could possibly be a problem with your control board, drawer, or lock switch. Since it could be any one of these issues I would recommend having a professional come out to your home and repair your washer. -Matt

Spin cycle extra loud

Good Morning Friend,

I understand that the spin cycle is extra loud in your Frigidaire washer, model# GLWS1233A. I also see that you have grease splattering inside the front and right side panels at the bottom of your appliance.

Certain amounts of clunking or gear sounds are normal in a heavy-duty washer.

If you are hearing any rattling or clanking sounds, there could either be foreign objects such as coins or it could be belt buckles or metal fasteners.

If you are hearing a squealing sound, your washer could be overloaded. Stop the cycle and reduce the load.

Thumping sounds usually means this is a heavy wash load. This is a usual sound, but if it continues, your washer could be out of balance. Stop the cycle and redistribute the wash load.

If you are receiving a vibrating sound, there are a couple of things that could be causing this.

1)Your washer is not resting firmly on the floor. Make sure your washer is resting firmly on the ground as well as level. You will want to make sure that it is level from front to back, side to side, as well as from corner to corner.

2)The wash load could be out of balance. Stop your washer and rearrange the wash load.
With you receiving grease splatters, depending on how much and how often, I suggest contacting your local authorized technician for assistance. They will be able to diagnose your washer as well as determine where the grease is coming from. Hope this is helpful.

    -Best Regards-

If the unit is washing properly, as far as you can tell, but it won't stop spinning, then I would have a professional look at the control panel and timer to be diagnosed because there seems to be in miscommunication.

I have aa frigidaire front load washer model LTF2940FE1. We put a pretty big load of towels in this morning. halfway through the cycle the machune made a couple of loud noises, like it was shaking, and...

Never put a large load of anything in, they're quite frankly not designed to work like that for a number of reasons. If the drum is full then water can't circulate properly and your clothes won't get washed as well as they could do.

The machine shut down to prevent damage to itself, try turning it off at the mains for 30 mins, turning it back on and then putting half the load in. This should reset it and stop the shaking.

Washer will start then stop and the no spin light comes on and wont go no further

Check the springs and dampers are all in place. The machine thinks it is out of balance and won't spin until it's rectified.

Can't stop cycle

You probably have some other issue with the machine if it won't stop, but the machine may also not be spinning the mat out because the load is unbalanced. If you put it in on spin only, watch to see if it actually spins up to speed or not. You will see it rotate the drum back and forth a couple of times - it is sensing the weight of the load and trying to balance it. I the machine can't balance it, it will never spin up to max speed. If this happens, put a few other items in the washer with the heavy item (they need to be of similar weight - like some towels or a heavy jacket or something) and try again. Good Luck

Washer spins than it gets off balance and shuts

Hi, Washing machines can become unbalanced when the wash load has too much weight in one area of the basket. A machine in good working order can handle most problems through its balancing mechanisms. However, when washing heavy single items such as comforters, the machine's tub can become so lopsided that it damages the washer.

Washing machines that get unbalanced can shake, make banging noises, and even more across the floor. When machines are secured in one place, they can vibrate and bang so much the entire house shakes and things fall off shelves. This is not good for the washer. Bolts can come loose, and parts can break.

When washing heavy items such as pillows or down coats, stay near the washer so you can correct any balance problems as they occur. Some washers have an automatic shut-off feature when they become too far off-balance. If yours does not, stop the spin cycle, open the lid, and redistribute the load. If this is a continuing problem, you may want to wash heavy items at a coin-operated laundry in a heavy-duty machine.

Take care

Front loader tub out of balance

Try running the washer with a small load. Still out of balance? Call a technician.
A very large load or a load with one heavy item is hard to balance. For example, one pillow cannot be spun but two can. Lots of jeans may not spin well. Wash a towel with the jeans.
Check the manufacturer's website for more help.

Because front load washers are VERY HEAVY, they shake if you have a wooden floor. If your front loader sits on concrete and it still shakes, then you have to make sure all is balanced. If it still shakes, then inside the system there are shock absorbers that need to be checked.
