Look on the back of the pc. There should be a speaker socket (usually Green in coilour) plug the speakers in to there. Alternativly there may be a headphone socket on the front. Use that.

Go into Control Panel and check the settings by double-clicking the "Sounds and Audio Devices" icon. Make sure the Mute box isn't checked and that the volume is turned up.

no you do not need a driver you just plug and play without installation. and all you need is a male to male patch cable that fits most mp3 players you can get one at radio shack or walmart.
