I'm trying to play movies from my USB port, but when I plug it I can't .... My LG 47" TV will recognize and open the flash drive, but shows empty.

Please do the following to isolate your issue:

1. It's possible that the usb port your connecting to is broken.

• Connect to another USB port.
• Connect to another PC and check if it's being read.

2. Problem with cable.

• Just use another USB cable.

3. Some android devices may be displayed in your computer but may not read your device as the screen is locked.

• Just unlock the display of your device by inserting your security code or swipe pattern.

4. USB port of your device is broken or the device storage itself could no longer be read. (hopefully not)

• If above items did not work then you may want to have your device checked by a technician.

Some TV models have a USB port so that users could play videos and movies from USB on TV. You can try the following steps:

1. Connect your readable and writable USB drive to computer
2. Copy your movies to USB drive and then disconnect your USB drive from computer.
3. Connect the USB device to the Sony TV USB port. Turn on the connected USB device if necessary.
4. Press the HOME button on Sony remote controller to open the menu.
5. Enter the target USD drive.
6. Select the file you want to play back, and then press the play button to start playing movies on TV via USB drive.

No, the A1-830 doesn't support MHL (micro-USB to HDMI). So the micro-USB to HDMI adapter will not work. The tablet's USB port will only support connecting to the charger or a PC's USB port. The other way to mirror content from the Iconia A1-830 would be to transfer it to your computer. Then send the file to the TV via Plex or SmartShare depending on the file and your TV. If you can upgrade the tablet to Android 4.4.2 or higher, then a ChromeCast will let you mirror content directly from the Iconia A1-830. This will require steps that can make the tablet unusable (research rooting an Android device).

I wish that I had better news for you. Unfortunately, even if you have a TV with a USB port, it probably will not access the files on the tablet. (Many only support FAT32 or NTSC file systems.)

The TV should support the file system to read the directory structure of the Hard disk and also the the file type to read the video file. Try mpeg / jpeg file on a thumb drive on the same USB port.

1) Download the USB driver for your phone here: http://www.lg.com/hk_en/support-mobile/lg-GX200.

2) Install the driver and reconnect your phone via USB.

3) On your phone's status bar, choose the option "connect as a media device" to make sure the pc can now see the phone.

4) Disconnect the phone from the pc.

5) Now, to connect the phone as modem, reconnect your phone to the pc via USB.

6) Go to your android phone's settings, choose "wireless and networks, then "more," then "tethering & portable hotspot."


7) Check the box that says "USB Tethering."


It should be working now!

Step 1. Connect your storage device (I usually use a pen drive) to your computer

Step 2. Copy Movie to the storage device

Step 3. Eject storage device and connect to your ps3 via the USB port.

Step 4. under videos an option of your storage device should be there but do not choose X button instead press triangle for options, then select display all.

Step 6. Locate your movie and select it using X button.

Step 7. Enjoy the movie!!!! This works with MOST movie files, you may find problems watching some movie because of the way they were encoded.
