SOURCE: Sharp UX-184 Paper Feed

On inside of machine it states how to:
1. Place new paper roll on the left hub while pushing it in, lowering the roll into the compartment making sure it is inserted onto the right hub.
2. Pass the leading edge of the paper through the paper cutter guide and the cutter.
3. Remove any slack in the paper.
4. Close the cover. The paper will feed out automatically.

The paper rolls over top front to back.

Sharp Error Codes
Sharp ram clear (most models with LCD displays)
Press function 9 * 8 # 7 then # or * until display reads memory clear, then press start. Note the other maintenance mode options displayed on the screen when pressing # or *.
Sharp UX-170 maintenance mode: Turn power on, set the line selector at "T" (tone), turn the program switch ON, then press 9 * 8 # 7. Select the next entry from this list: 01 all black copy, 02 ROM/RAM check, 03 auto feeder mode, 04 aging mode, 05 panel check mode, 06 G3 transmission, 07 check pattern, 08 product check (includes diags, 06, 03, 09), 09 signal send mode, 10 memory clear, 11 led array on mode (lamp), 12 product program sw mode, 13 telephone number list printing mode, * soft switch mode, # transmission level. This same procedure works on similar, older models that do not have an LCD display.
Sharp UX-2100 often has power supply problems which cause the unit to lock up.
UX-3200/FO-3250: FO32TD toner/developer costs less than UX30TD and will work in the UX model if 2 fins are broken off so that the unit can be installed in the UX model. Similar duplicity exists with many Sharp laser supplies.
Sharp FO-4800: fuzzy print often results from a bad Motor PWB (polygon mirror) #RMOTN0020GCZZ located in the optical unit.
