Selecting a song

When I select the song I want to listen to, it plays a completely different song. Also, I don't know if this is related, but all of the songs in my play-lists were some how deleted. When I click on a play list, instead of seeing songs I see square symbols. Please help me with any tiny bit of information you have!

Sounds to me like you have a corrupt database. I had exactly the same problem and the only thing to do is format your player. This does seem to be common problem from what I have read on the internet. Go to Sandisk's site and download the firmware updater also.

How do I put songs in playlist on my Coby MP620 MP3 player

The Coby is weird, but I found a way to create playlists. It might not be the "real" way, but it works :)
Before I plug the mp3 in my computer I create folders containing the songs I want for each play list. For example I'd create one folder labeled "work out" for songs I want to listen to while working out, and another folder labeled "sleep" for songs to listen to while sleeping, or you could label them based on artists or genre or etc. Then I would copy the songs I want in each playlist into their respective folders.
Next, I plug my coby into my computer, and open it's folder. (should be in computers, and have a icon with a C on it). I'd copy (or click and drag into the coby folder) my play list folders (the ones I labeled work out and sleep). Then eject and remove my mp3.
If you do this, when you turn on your mp3 you should select Music. Then select Broswer (on the bottom). Select the first row, which has the symbol "\" [underneath this is all your songs] and you'll see the names of your play list folders (they'll be below ROOT, MAC OS X Coby Me, and PHOTOS) . If you select your play list name you'll see and be able to play the songs under that playlist.

6th gen. nano has shuffle issues. plays same song over and over

The iPod's shuffle feature lets you randomize playback of albums, songs or even your entire music library. You may also find this feature useful if you want to listen to forgotten tracks in your library or discover songs you haven't listened to yet. Disabling the shuffle feature will return playback of a song list to its standard consecutive order. You can enable and disable the shuffle feature at any time.

Navigate to the main menu. Select "Settings." Scroll to the "Shuffle" option. Select "Songs" or "Albums." If you select "Songs," the iPod Classic will shuffle the songs on whatever song list you listen to. If you select "Albums," the iPod Classic will play all songs of an album you select in order and then randomly select another album. Navigate to the playlist or album to which you want to listen. Play a song to initiate the shuffle. b> iPod Nano and iPod Touch Tap the "Songs" icon on your nano home screen. If you are using an iPod Touch, open the "iPod" application. Navigate to the song list, playlist or album you want to play. Tap the "Shuffle" icon at the top of the list to activate the feature.

Real player library not refreshing..closing itself after 64%

After hearing one artist played over and over during a shuffled play of your entire music library in iTunes you may think your player has a preference of its own. Apple claims the iTunes' shuffle algorithm is completely random.1 The shuffle algorithm chooses songs "without replacement." In other words, much like going through a shuffled deck of cards, you will hear each song only once until you have heard them all... or until you have stopped the player or selected a different playlist.
iTunes Party Shuffle2 is a different matter. Its algorithm selects songs "with replacement," meaning the entire deck of cards is reshuffled after each song is played. The play higher rated songs more often option does exactly what it says, but how much preference is given to higher rated songs?
To test the option's preference for 5-stars, I created a short playlist of six songs: one from each different star rating and a song left un-rated. The songs were from the same genre and artist and were changed to be only one second in duration. After resetting the play count to zero, I hit play and left my desk for the weekend. To satisfy a little more curiosity, I ran the same songs once more on a different weekend without selecting the option to play higher rated songs more often. Monday morning the play counts were as shown in Table 1.

Im looking 4 any songs...were i can found it...?

There are many free mp3 download websites, one of the most popular and commonly used website is "mp3raid.com" (click here), open the link and type in an artist name or a song name in the search box, as an example, you can take a look here (I've typed in "taylor swift - you belong with me")
94fff83.jpg

Now click the "SEARCH" button, you'll see all the lists of songs related to your search..
27c64af.jpg

Look at the "File location...", the number 01's location is "210.29.194.26" and the remaining (currently visible) files are "4shared.com", you can choose anyone from the lists, but the download method is different.. I'll demonstrate with the Number 01's download instructions... Click the 01 link, you'll be presented with a new page:

cd445ff.jpg

Now enter the Captcha texts... after selecting the check box "I have read, understood and accept the ......." and then click "Enable listen & download"..

Again on the next page, the song will automatically begin playing... but that's not what we are going to.. listen here.. we are going to download the song...

Pause the song by clicking the Pause button, and below the player, you'll see two buttons: Pointed with two RED arrows:
7cc506b.jpg

Right click the "Download" button and select "Save Link as....", once you click the "Save link as.." another small SAVE dialog box will open up, click "save" after the saving destination is noted... That's all, you've download the song.. there's no other way to download like clicking the download button.. but if the song is Located on 4shared.com or other file sharing websites, like Rapidshare or etc..etc.. you'll be directed to the originated website and you have to follow the respective download procedures of the website/s... (I can't mention all the download procedures, but let me give you a hint, suppose if you are downloading the song from 4shared.com, you don't need to right-click the "Download" button, but you have to left-click it [normal click] once you click the Button, another page will open up where you'll see a countdown timer running, wait for few seconds.. ie... 20 seconds in 4shared.com and click "Download File Now" after the countdown timer's stopped running)...

I hope this will be enough for now.

If you need further help, let me know.

Good luck.

Thanks for using FixYa.

Cover Art and iPod not agreeing with each other!

Hi there,
the problem comes from the tags attached to your media files.
You must tag your files with the appropriate cover art for them to appear correctly. There is an application available for free that can do this for you:
http://www.mp3tag.de/en/download.html

Once you have installed it, run the program.
In the program, click File/Change Directory
Select the folder in which you've got your music files and it will open the folder up for analysis.
Preferably, you should group your songs by album to make the process easier for you.
You select the songs from the list( for multiple songs, hold Ctrl while selecting) and then click on Tag Sources/Amazon.com or any other present website and use the search engine to find the appropriate album for the songs. Note that you can not search for multiple albums at the same time. Tags can be done per album.
Hope this helps,
Regards
