How can I hook up the Playstation 2 to my DirectTV Cable box?

I have called DirectTV 2 times asking for Tech Support and keep asking this same question as to how to connect the Playstation 2 gaming system to my DirectTV cable box?
DirectTV says they only have Customer Service and that they can answer my questions, however I have tried their methods and it still does not work? So far my 13 year old is sad as she cannot play her gaming system.
Thanks for your time

Connecting internet to the playstation 3

Before connecting the ethernet cable to the back of your Playstaion3 hold the modem reset button for 15 seconds, when 15 secs are up connect the ethernet cable to your ps3 system, wait until tour Comcast High Speed Internet goes online again (all the lights are showing fine) then try setting up your Playstation connection settings again, it might work since now you have reseted your modem and the modem will send information to new device, I hope this information works for you, :)

Maybe I don't quite get what you're trying to do.

Unless you still tune programs off the air from the TV tuner and an antenna - what possible TV program would come into the TV that the DirectTV box wouldn't already provide high quality sound and video for? You should run the audio from the DirectTV box to the receiver.

I was given this tv I need to connect cable

your t.v will hook up directly to cable. if you are asking how to hook to a digital box then you can hook it up the same as you had it hooked on your previous t.v. but if you want to get high def channels then you are going to have to take your digital box back to Time Warner and swap it for a high def digital box. or you can just call Time Warner and have a technician go to your house and swap/ hook things up for you. Hope this helps you.

Playstation 2

You shouldn't need to connect your PS2 to your cable box. Both are video signal sources.

However, some cable boxes do have aux or line inputs. In that case you would connect the yellow, red and white plugs from the PS2 AV cable to your cable box's yellow, red and white inputs. Make sure the jacks you plug in to are labelled input or in, otherwise they're outputs and they won't work.

Sony Bravia XBR-2 32-inch LCD with popping noise problem

Has anyone heard of something like this where the cable box/service is causing popping sounds? yes & it is common problem. And is this something I should be concerned about causing damage to the TV's speakers? not at all. The Sony tech-support representative (over the phone) diagnosed it further to a problem not with the TV but with the cable box/service because there were no popping sounds when I played a DVD on my Playstation 2 that is attached to the TV. they are right that your problem is not due to tv. it is due to cable box/service? yes but not defective it reqires to change the way you have connected tv to cable.please call tech to get it connected in such a way so that you do not get popping sound when you you put off cable box.
