Easiest thing to try first is updating your wireless drivers.

go to Samsung's support page and find the latest version, download and install.

Let me know if you need any more help.

SOURCE: Toshiba NB 205 connects to router but not internet

The wireless configuration is set differently on routers, eg the SSID, and encryption. You need to configure the wireless LAN card in the laptop to connect/communicate with the different routers.
Some wireless LAN card allow you to setup different profiles/settings for different wireless routers. Eg one setting for the office and one for home, which allows easy connection to the Internet by selecting the appropriate profile/setting.

SOURCE: MSI U120 Netbook Internet Connection Problem?

At times, a netbook or notebook can create multiple duplicate links to the same network. Each one will diminish the strength of the connection by a little bit and you should clean them out so that there is only one.

Also, it makes sense to use the MAC address on the server side, such that only a netbook with your unique MAC address can connect to the wireless connection. It saves energy/strength if that is your only real security stopper, since like fingerprints, there are no such things as duplicate MAC addresses.

Try making those changes you might just find a cleaner, stronger connection to your WiFi at home.

Good Luck,
-a.

SOURCE: I have followed all the instructions on how to

Had the same problem with my Sylvania Netbook I purchased last week. Last night, I stopped by CVS that received a shipment early in the afternoon and purchased another. Powered on to wifi at first and it would not connect on internet. Clicked on little tv, pulled up my preferred connection and entered Network key. Shut down and restarted and it connected onto google!

My original Sylvania Netbook had the same settings in place and still would not connect - so I am returning it today for a refund - it was defective.

Are you using a router? Do you use cable internet? Try connecting directly the cable directly into your netbook. If you have internet access then the issue may be with your router.

My acer aspire one wont connect to internet. it says it is connected to wireless, and i have wired it to modem but the problem still persists. please help.

Based on your description, the following is assumed.
1. The service to your Internet Service Provider is through a cable or DSL modem.
2. Internet service was initially set-up with your netbook directly connected to the modem.
3. A wireless router was since added and is using the direct wired connection to the modem.
4. The netbook is connected to the wireless access point being provided by the router.
5. The netbook says it is connected to the wireless access point but still no internet access.
The problem is likely due to the modem capturing the MAC address of the netbook when access to the internet servce was initially set up using the netbook directly connected to the modem and now the modem will only allow access with the netbook directly connected to it. You can check this out by reconnecting the netbook directly to the modem. It may be possible to "flush" the captured MAC by unplugging the AC power to the modem, waiting a few minutes and then powering back up with the router connected in place of the netbook. To make it easier, you may want connect your netbook directly to the router's LAN side to check if you now have internet access through the router. If you still don't have internet access, you will need to use your netbook to log onto the router to clone your netbook's MAC address for the router's WAN connection. The router's user guide/manual has directions on logging in and doing the MAC address clone. It will also have an explanation as to what is a MAC address.

Unable to connect on wf using a sylvania 7" notebook wf is shown connected.internet explorer does not connect ??? Basil

If your trying to get on the internet with a wireless connection.and running WINDOWS(many problems with LINUX), .and I am assuming you DO have a wireless router all set up and configured to broadcast the signal (not hidden) ....first we have to determine if the problem is at the router or at the laptop AND at what point its getting stuck ... so first try this

try resetting the router (unplug for a few minutes) try --be sure the wifi switch is enabled on the netbook---try---go to CONTROL PANEL>NETWORK CONNECTIONS--right click oin your wifi card and choose properties--highlight INTERNET PROTOCOL and choose properties and be sure "OPTAIN IP ADDRESS AUTOMATICALLY" is checked--Does the laptop "SEE" the router?
You will need your SSID to logon to the router(internet)

I cannot get my netbook to connect to my netgear router. I have a laptop that is funtioning with the router

1. Some routers have to assign the device to it manually that is you will have to assign it to a list allowing your Netbook permission to connect wireless.
2. By not knowing the instruction set for your Router and the model I am unable to give further instruction for troubleshooting. Your Netbook model number was also not given here.
Please provide more information as to your issue.
