Based on your description, the following is assumed.
1. The service to your Internet Service Provider is through a cable or DSL modem.
2. Internet service was initially set-up with your netbook directly connected to the modem.
3. A wireless router was since added and is using the direct wired connection to the modem.
4. The netbook is connected to the wireless access point being provided by the router.
5. The netbook says it is connected to the wireless access point but still no internet access.
The problem is likely due to the modem capturing the MAC address of the netbook when access to the internet servce was initially set up using the netbook directly connected to the modem and now the modem will only allow access with the netbook directly connected to it. You can check this out by reconnecting the netbook directly to the modem. It may be possible to "flush" the captured MAC by unplugging the AC power to the modem, waiting a few minutes and then powering back up with the router connected in place of the netbook. To make it easier, you may want connect your netbook directly to the router's LAN side to check if you now have internet access through the router. If you still don't have internet access, you will need to use your netbook to log onto the router to clone your netbook's MAC address for the router's WAN connection. The router's user guide/manual has directions on logging in and doing the MAC address clone. It will also have an explanation as to what is a MAC address.

Why does my acer aspire 5315 wifi keep disconnecting and reconnecting?

hello sir.

Reason :-
1.Make sure your acer aspire is in range.
2.cheack is it your wireless disconnecting and reconnecting or is it your internet disconnecting and reconnecting.
3.Are you facing this issue with any other machine or is this the only one.
If this is the only computer in which your wifi connection is dropping then there is issue with wireless connectivity.

solution:-
1.Turn of your router and modem and then check the wireless connectivity.
If issue still persist then:-
2.Create a new network name and wireless security key and then connect to it:- Now check the wireless stability whether is it still disconnecting an reconnecting or is it stable now.

If issue still persist then bright your laptop close to router and then check wifi disconnecting any more or not if not then change the channel to 1 or 11 from your wireless router page.

Let me know if this worked for you or not.
If worked then please rate my solution.

I had ACER ZG5 note book. How can I set up a wire less internet connection on it?

you need a wireless router to connect via router. just put your internet/broadband/modem cable in WAN port. and then you'll be able to connect via wireless.

Acer aspire 9410, cannot connect to the internet using dial-up

You have two different devices here. A modem and a wireless network adapter. Two totally different devices. It sounds like the modem quit working but the wireless network adapter still functions. I'm assuming that the modem is built it. If you absolutely have to have it you could buy a PCMCIA modem if your laptop has a PCMCIA slot to plug it into. You could also have a corrupted modem driver.

I have an acer aspire 6930 what are the steps to connect to wireless internet I have a wireless moden but have to keep the ethernet phone cord plugged in to browse the net please help

all you have to do is, take the wireless modem and check if there ports at the back for connecting the ethernet to the modem(mostly it will be there).you can refer the manual of the wireless modem to connect the modem to your acer(i.e the connections of cables)in a step by step process.i am telling this since you have not specified your modem's manfacturer and model no. you have to the install the software from the installation cd of the modem in your laptop.
the defaualt connection will be to connect the phone's ethernet cord to the main input of the modem(if you are using the phone for internet). and the power adapter in the nearby small slot.

All internet connections failed with Acer Aspire One with Linux

Atheros AR5007EG adapter only WEP compatible. Wireless networks using WPA(2), or anything else won't work. If network is unsecured, it should connect.
