Button Beeps
Every time you press a button on the front of your radio, it beeps unless you turn
Button Beeps Off. To turn Button Beeps Off, turn your radio On while you press and
hold the minus (-). To turn Button Beeps back On, turn the radio Off and then back On again
while you press and hold the minus (-) . On is the Default setting.

I have held the - sign and done this several time and the Roger beep is still sounding what next?

The T6500 is slightly different than many of the other TalkAbout radios where the + (plus) button turns the Roger Beep (aka talk confirmation tone) on or off.

T6500 will turn ON the Roger Beep when turning the radio on with the +, but to shut it OFF you must hold in the - (minus) button while turning the radio on.

Here is a link to the user guide: http://www.giantintl.com/ContentManage/manuals/Moto/T65xx.pdf You will find the instructions in detail on page 25.

Best regards.

How to shut off beep

I'm not seeing where the T4500 has a roger beep. In the event you have a different TalkAbout radio, the Roger Beep is typically turned on or off by holding the PLUS button in while turning on the radio. Batteries don't charge, is it the batteries or chargers?

With the radio shut off, and placed on the charger, does your charger's indicator light come on and stay on? If so, the charger is working. If the light flashes, you probably have a bad or shorted battery. If the light does not come on at all you have a charger or contact problem.

Tips: Clean your battery contacts on the charger, battery and radio with a pencil eraser. Check the date code of your battery pack, if it is more than 18-24 months old, they need to be replaced. The date code is a 3 or 4 digit number. It represents the year and week the battery was manufactured. Example 0934 or 934 is 2009 the 34th week.

Chargers seldom fail at the same time unless there has been a power surge or other power disturbance. It would be more likely you have bad batteries or you are not getting good contact due to a need for cleaning.
