I have an early 1970's Panasonic Am-Fm clock radio. The clock is now dead. There are several numbers on the insdie of the case: No 71970, C037117 18 822.
I'm guessing the electric motor is shot. I pulled it out. It's a General Time Corp, Made in the USA motor. Trying to read the numbers on it, half hidden by braces: NW M5A-115 V -60 CY.
Any idea how to find one of these?
I'm guessing, I replace this, oil the gears with some clock oil, put it back together - then I have a real happy next door neighbor (who has had it since she was 12!).
Let me know.
Thanks.

SOURCE: How do I get my Timex WR50M watch out of the 24 hour (military) time and back to a 12 hour clock?
Hold down the adjust button bottom right then press the mode button top left you will notice the a or p that stands for am/pm will disappear & reappear. If you have an a or p on your display then you are out of military time.

It's not easy. You're probably better off brining it to the jeweler unless you already have the tools. You'll need a precision screwdriver set. Under the clock there's a tiny screw. Carefully remove that to pop the clock off the front of the plane -- don't strip it. Then get a standard flathead screwdriver to remove the cover behind the clock. Just turn it so that the tabs on the cover appear in the little openings around the edge. It should then fall out. If not, use a tiny screwdriver to remove it.
Under there is the clock. Remove the plastic spacer. You'll see the tiny little battery, which is held in by a tiny metal arm. Move the arm and the spring behind the battery will pop it up a little. Use a tiny screwdriver to carefully remove the battery. The battery is SR626SW.
Have fun putting it back together! Whoever designed this thing is on my s-list.
