HP Deskjet F380 All In One Printer

did you choose the name of your printer in the printer option when printing in the other programs?...try it...else maybe you need to wait while your printer spool... or is it compatible with the program you are using?

Please make sure that the printer is already VISTA compatible meaning if it is known to have VISTA printer drivers.

HP Deskjet F380 All-in-One Compatible with vista

I had the same problem. I could print, but not scan.

However, if you open up Paint and go to file and scan, it will scan your document. For some reason, using the scan button on the printer itself will not work with Vista, but using Paint will. I also heard that using Windows fax and scan will also work.
