Printing pdfs with highlighted text/shaded areas

When I go to print a pdf that has a shaded box of text, or I, personally, have highlighted a sentence, I see everything correctly on screen, but once I print, the shaded area and the hightlighted text prints pure black. In other words, all I see is one big black box (for the shaded area) or black lines (hightlighted text).

It's very frustrating!

I'm not sure I explained the problem correctly. I have been printing with this printer for two years and have never had a problem with hightlighted or shaded text in Adobe Acrobat 7.0 before now. And, we are able to print the same pdf from another computer to that same printer, so I don't think it is the printer.

    Thanks for the help, though!

That just means that you don't have a postscript enabled printer, or possibly you're using a black and white only printer. You might be able to print highlighted items normally on other printers, but will have to remove the highlighting to see the text on the one that you have. Alternatively, if removing the highlights isn't possible, you might try selecting all the text and then pasting that into a new document in a word processor or another similar program. If you do have a color printer, and need to print what you're seeing, you can arrange the document so that it is centered on your screen and then press: "Alt + Print Screen" at the same time. You can then open MS Paint or a similar photo editing program and paste ("Ctrl + V") the screen capture into the program.

Let us know if you need further help.

Hope this will FixYa!!!

PDF's will be changes, often quite significantly, by the preferences which are set on the computer. They are quite extensive, but one or more of them must be causing your problem. I don't have Acrobat 7.0, I have Acrobat 9.0 Pro Extended, or I'd go through the list. You might reset the preferences to their defaults.

Also, you might have a problem with preferences which are switched by any add-ins that you've attached to Acrobat.

You are using Acrobat, not Adobe Reader, right?

Why Can't I print documents?

What application are you printing from?

Are you trying to print a PDF with a lot of scanned images or embedded content? Large PDFs can bog down printing.

Try to find a simple text-only PDF (no graphics or scanned stuff) with only a few pages and print it.

Some third party PDF generators do not make clean PDFs. They are malformed and can cause issues when printing.

WILL ONLY PRINT EVERY ALTERNATE LINE OF TEXT & TEXT BOX BORDERS

Doesn't sound like your printer hardware. Try printing something other than your text document. If the page comes out clean/perfect then it means your printer is having a problem understanding your text document via print program translation. Otherwise try converting your text to pdf and print a sample page, if it works then again problem with software/printer translation.

ES9410 - PDF jumbled printing

Assuming you are using MS Windows then install FoxIT pdf reader which allows command line printing on Windows. Go to http://www.foxitsoftware.com/ to get it. Make sure your OKI printer is the default.

Once installed you can print using the command, from my dusty memory -

Reader.exe /p MyFile.pdf

I don't use Windows any longer, now exclusively Linux, so I might be mistaken.

How to change Epson Lx300+ II Font

The Epson printer is controlled directly by the computer it is connected to. The printer actually has no say in how and what it prints, so if you want to change any aspect of your print document (such as the text) you need to adjust the text in the document you are printing from. This only requires a few clicks of your mouse and once the text style is changed you may begin printing with the next font.
1. Open the program you are printing from and want to change the text font of.

2. Select "File," "Open" (or click the "Open" button on the front of the program), then choose the document you want to print.

3. Click-and-drag over the text you want to change. Once highlighted, click the font type option on the top of the page and choose the new font you want. Once selected, all the highlighted area changes.

4. Click "File," "Print" and choose the Epson Stylus CX5000 as the device you are printing from. Click "OK" and the document will print with the new text.

I hope you find it very helpful.

How to un-shade the Selection option in my HP DeskJet 932C printe

If you have already selected a certain area by highlighting, this is what you do:
Goto the File menu
Select print
You find the following options in most of the printers
o All
o Pages From....... To.......
o Selection
You will find the radio button to the left of one option selected.
Undoing that selection happens when you click on another one.
So, you click on the button next to Selection, then the others will be unselected
Good luck

Hp psc 1510 wont print some pdf files (blank pages come out)

I've run across this a few times. And its always the pdf you really wanted not the one you just finished printing (Sound familiar? ;-])

Assuming the pdf is not corrupted then you can be missing a font which you fix by telling it to use one you have. Or if that's not it try printing it in greyscale only. I have had issues with printing color pdfs that work when you print them black and white.

Specific PDF Document/Specific Print Area Black Toner Not Fusing And Flakes Off

Without a doubt you have a problem with the fuser.
What that is caused from is buildup over time of ink on the heat roller. The teflon coating wears some and the ink sticks to the aluminum instead of pealing off onto the paper.
You then do not get enough heat or perssure to "fuse" the image into the paper.
Replacine the fuser will correct the problem.
