Microwave works bet led display is garbled - Sharp R-1501 Microwave Oven

If it is an led display, it might have a display driver integrated circuit that has gone bad. More likely, though the driver might be part of the microprocessor. Either way, you'll either need to have an electronics technician fix it, or replace the circuit board.

The touch panel has malfunctioned, Suggest replacing microwave unless you want to attempt repair. If so you will need a replacement touch panel for it.

Please post a new help request here on FixYa and include the full model number from the tag in the cooking cavity or elsewhere on the microwave, such as the door frame, controller frame, etc. plus detailed symptoms and when they occur and we'll be happy to help you.

Sounds as though you'll have to replace it again. There isn't much else it can be. Is there a chance that the house is not well grounded? Lighting and the such can do this.
given the cost of parts....Look to price shop a new one before fixing this one.

Your magnetron tube is leaking RF energy inside and zapping the main board. It is NOT dangerous as any leakage will be contained inside the unit.
