There could be a few different reasons why your 1997 Dodge Ram 1500 is bouncing. Here are some possible causes:
Worn shocks or struts: If the shocks or struts on your vehicle are worn out, they may not be able to properly dampen the movement of the suspension, causing the vehicle to bounce.
Worn or damaged suspension components: Other components of the suspension, such as springs or ball joints, may be worn or damaged, causing the vehicle to bounce.
Worn or underinflated tires: If the tires on your vehicle are worn or underinflated, they may not provide enough support for the vehicle, causing it to bounce.
Improperly balanced or aligned wheels: If the wheels on your vehicle are not properly balanced or aligned, they can cause the vehicle to bounce.
To fix the problem, you will need to identify and repair or replace the damaged or worn component(s). It's a good idea to have a mechanic diagnose the issue to determine the cause and the necessary repairs.
Make sure the unit is leveled and on a solid surface. You may have to brace the floor up under the washer if the floor is too flexible. To test this place a glass of water on the floor in front of the washer. if the water vibrates and ripples in the cup the floor is weak. Manufacturer's came up with this test.
Hi there, the machine will still work. However it will bounce around all over the place. The concrete block is to hold it down in one place. It needs to be fixed or replaced.
There are pads on the tripod and skid plate that wear out and can be replaced. There is fluid in the tub ring that may have leaked out. The base (tripod) can be bent and cause vibration problems. The flooring material and support can cause this also. I would start with the floor and work up through and eliminate the causes to find the culprit. Eric
have you check your floor..if floor is weak the hold area around unit will vibrate,,,easy test,,,stand in front of unit and bounce your body up and down things moving,,,weak floor,,cheapest fix..get a piece of pluss carpet and make 1 piece over all for legs,,when unit settles in thick carpet that will stop bouncing and noise
When I went to buy mine I asked about the bouncing and shaking and he said alot of times people do not take the nuts and bolts off the back that allows the drum to move properly causing it to move etc. There is a pic on the back that shows you were to remove them.
