There is two spring like clips in the front of the washer. Use a thin scraper. You have to start prising up on the top and push the clips back with the scraper and it will pop open. they are about two inches from each side, approximatlly.

Unbalanced load stoped it mid cycle no codes shown how do you restart

Normally you re position the load until it is evenly distributed around the tub. Close the lid and press resume or restart.

Kenmore washer 110.23934201 overfills. Replaced the level switch and hose, problem still exists. Is there a diaphragm or lint trap in the lower tub housing where the pressure switch hose connects.

The vacuum hose from the diaphragm to the tub needs to be in place, I've forgotten to do that too :( You will see a small nipple on the outside of the tub itself, the tube just slips onto it.

Water does not drain

There should be a switch for the lid. When you open the lid you should see the switch somewhere, try sticking a pencil in it or on it to activate it into thinking the lid is closed, the switch could be worn out and the little pin on the door is not pushing it down far enough to activate it.

The tub filled with water than stoped working?

If this is a Whirlpool manufactured top loader (such as your Kenmore), the most common cause of the symptoms you describe is a lid switch malfunction. Symptoms may include, no spinning, no agitation, stopping at the rinse cycle and no draining.

The lid switch is usually mounted under the washer top casing, on the right hand side on most top load models. It is activated by a plastic piece on the lid (called a "Lid Strike") through a small hole on the rim of the wash tub opening. In many cases the lid strike breaks off the lid, or the lid switch becomes loose and no longer makes contact. Inspect the lid to make sure the lid strike is still intact, and then inspect the mounting screws (adjacent to the small opening on the wash tub rim) and make sure they are snug. If you determine the switch to be defective, the following link explains how to replace one:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r3557193-replacing_a_lid_switch

On some models, the lid switch is located under the top casing by one of the lid hinges. You will know if you if you have this type of switch, because It does not have a lid strike and the small hole on the right hand side of the wash tub will not be present. This switch is actuated (toggled) by a rod on the lid hinge. With this type of switch, if you locate it and it can be toggled by hand, you may only need to adjust the actuator by bending it slightly.

A replacement lid switch (if required) can be purchased at any of the following web sites:

searspartsdirect.com
pcappliancerepair.com
appliancepartspros.com
repairclinic.com

The average price is about $20 - $30. Prices differ between sites so shop and compare.

If you have questions, or need additional assistance, please post back with your complete MODEL NUMBER (located on a nameplate around the wash tub rim under the lid). I hope you find this information helpful.

Where do I Find the model number on my Kenmore Elite Top load washer?

The model number on Kenmore top loaders is usually printed on a nameplate along the wash tub rim opening under the washer lid. The model number has 8 digits with a prefix of "110". If you cannot locate it, please let me know. I hope this helps you.

Kenmore 700 series top load washer:sleeve that anchors metal tub is sliding down preventing spin out?

you will need to replace the drive block. you will need to remove the agitator then remove the spanner nut that holds tub in place. tub can be pulled out and now the drive block is visible. replace and it will sit how it suppose to again. I would stop using it before it rips the outter tub open
