While pulling up on the basket, strike the center shaft with a heavy hammer to jar it loose, not a brutal blow, just jar it with something heavy and hard.

I don't know if you've tried this, but when my washing machine misbehaves or the buttons wig out or it stops working, I just unplug from 110 for a few minutes and plug it back in. This has always worked for me.

make sure you loads are balanced, put heaviest clothes in first... if you can rock it by hand then the legs are not adjusted properly. If you stand 2 feet away from front of machine, jump up and down and see it move the floor is soft and you need 2 sheets of plywood to make 1 1/2 inches put under the machine

I had the same problem, and found that my drain hose had been pinched between the washer and the wall, kinking it and preventing the tub from draining completely. I unkinked it, set a block of wood between the wall and the washer to prevent reoccurance, and have not had that problem again since.

There are three springs under your machine. two that look the same....one on each side of the tub. and one in the back of the tub. it is common on machines that are a bit older for the rear spring to wear itself through the metal at the bottom. if this is the case, it is best to get a new spring and just drill another small hole next to the old one. you might be able to get by with using the old spring for a bit longer....just drill another hole.

Most washer tubs are suspended by heavy rubber O-rings. These do fail with age so that the tub is not being held centered anymore. I suspect one of them has failed or come off during a severely unbalanced load.

• Check that the water supply valves are turned on
• Inspect the filter screens
• Test for overheating
• Inspect the water pump
• Test the water inlet valve.
  
• Test the motor

remember ,,the tub has a balance ring on top..and that filled with water,,,if your getting water at bottom make sure your drain hose is at proper height,,,+theres always water between the pump and the drain hose no unit can drain 100 per,,

you have a defective lid switch. it is at the side of the top panel, there is a small hole where you can insert a small screw driver to trip it.

it is use to detect if you open the door. the spiining cycle will stop to prevent accident from a fast spinning tub.
