If the element wont shut off sounds like the oven thermostat control made be faulty, if its a manual knob you use to turn the oven on you'll need to replace it, but if its electronically controlled you'll need to replace what the call the erc or clock.

Any proprietary glass top cleaner should be suitable. Avoid using a wire based scouring pad but the Scotch type 'plastic/foam' cleaning pads are ok.

Use Cooktop Cleaner with a soft micro cloth. Don't use water. Buff until the mark disappears. Hint: Never clean the cooktop until it is completely cool to touch as doing so makes cleaning much harder. Never use abrasives on the glass or abrasive cast iron skillets.

We solved this by holding the light/door switch in, hit the clean button, then press stop/clear for 3 seconds.

The cook top is attached to the wood frame by brackets, just remove the screws and the electric connection, make sure the power is off from the main box, it's a 220 volt wiring and then just lift the top off. to remove the glass, look around the edges and you should see some small screws, just remove them and the glass should lift off.

The top can not be repaired. The glass must be replaced . DO NOT USE IT CRACKED!!!!!!!!!!!! This is very dangerous as it can explode from the temperature. Also this is a severe electrical danger as glass top units have exposed elements underneath. Any liquid at all can short it out and cause a fire. I don't know if it is worth repairing. I don't have the exact price for your cooktop but last one I priced was between $350 - $500.
